| | C'mon, all the cool kids are playing.
Okay, none of the cool kids are playing.
But the rest of us are at the Internet Scrabble Club playing our goofy 2- and 3-letter words, in search of the elusive bingo.
If you're on, I'm TPierzina and am very beatable.
I've also seen file13 and phoenixx pop their heads in from time to time.
I'll be on tonight as long as Jackson stays asleep! |

| | Hubby loves Scrabble but refuses to play with me. Because in the 6 years we've owned Scrabble, he's won exactly twice. And I usually beat him by a huge margin. He loves words, he just doesn't figure out how to plan to put a word with Z's and J's together on a triple-word score square.

I once got that word.
Across the bottom row.
Two triple word squares (the "t" was preexisting).
And check out where the 'X' fell.
I was very, very  |

| | My husband almost always beats me at Scrabble--partly because he has the patience to add up the different words and figure out where they'll score the most points. I get obsessed about wanting to play a particular word and ignoring the points.

| | My mother used to make me play with her. I can't find anybody to play with me though. Maybe I'll try a game someday

| | I looked to see if yahoo had a scrabble interface kinda like their chess rooms. Thought it would be cool. No luck.

| | I missed you, so sorry - I went running in there as soon as I read this thread, but alas! Jackson must have woken up - you were gone...

I'm on again tonight, fresh off a win that finally put my rating over 1100. I should probably quit while I'm ahead.
Yeah, right. |

| | Sadly - I can't this evening
I'm only on this board intermittently - doing some research for a client...
Have fun though!

| | Yup, should have quit. I'm safely back down in the mid-1100s now.
All is right with the world.
For those who don't know, but are curious, the National Scrabble Association's ratings start at 1200 and go up or down based on opponents' ratings, margin of victory/loss, etc. Some of the best players are over 1600, while many are down in the 6-800 range. Typically, learning all 2-letter words and their 3-letter hooks, plus some common Q, X and V words, are prerequisites for breaking the 1000 point plane.
Or, cheat. | | |
