| | 12/13 - Post a gift for your Santa - Final Game thread | | Santa Worm asked of the EA elves,
"Do you know what I know?
Who gave you the gifts EA elves?
Do you know what I know?"
Today is the day
that the truth will be revealed,
Elf identity will no longer be concealed.
Today the truth will be revealed.
Hope you all had fun playing the game.
Today is the day to guess who your Santa was and to find out if you're right!
Shop for a gift for the person that you think was your Santa. Post the gift here so everyone knows who it is for and who it is from. Then when the time seems right, you can all reveal if the guesses are right or wrong, and we'll all know who bought for whom.
Happy Holidays to Everyone!
Hope you'll all play again in 2005! |

| | Re:(1)12/13 - Post a gift for your Santa - Final Game thread | | I am guessing that pippadaisy is my secret santa, though I truly have no clue. If pippa it is then here is a gift from me to you......
I know your kids are your sun, moon and stars
But all mommies need a break
So here is my present to the mom of those stars
(and remember to give to yourself isn't weak):
A special link to a good place to go to vent about those oh-so-helpful bystanders spouting tales of child-rearing by sticks and stones : http://www.motherswithattitude.com/
A LARGE gift certificate to this website, where you can find a gift basket (or several) of personal pampering products and food treats that you can share with your super-special family without fear of diet repercussions: http://www.healthygoodiesgifts.com/spdigi.html
A gift that I just thought you'd enjoy - a certificate to the website that sells many wacky gifts for the fidget in you, including a wierd and wacky "lick-ometer keychain" (stick a tootsie pop in and it counts your licks to the middle on an LED screen....). Never fear, if the lickometer isn't up your alley, I'm sure the other bizarre and funny stuff here will be - enjoy!!! http://www.spilsbury.com/webapp/wcs...wt%2Emc_id=1002 (and you can locate more gifts to satisfy the fidgeter inside here: http://www.surprise.com/traits/fidgeter/ )
I hope your Christmas is very merry and your new year filled with blissful moments that bring you peace, whether I got the secret santa guess right or not .

| | Re: (2) 12/13 - Post a gift for your Santa - Final Game thread | | I'm not making any more game rules, so you can do this how you like, but I think you should hold off on the rights or wrongs until most people post because knowing may change other peoples guesses.
Now.
I got 5 FABULOUS gifts, and the elf tells me that ALL my guesses were wrong.
I know I'm supposed to get gifts for all my guesses, but I gave everyone a gift in the busy thread (if you didn't go there - go see what I gave you - it was fun but Hard Work shopping!)
My guesses are harder because I'm not sure if some might be from non-game playing elves, but I'm going to assume that only game players were involved.
So, here are my new guesses:
The pineapple body oil - Yum!!! - Could this be from MJ?
The lovely jewelry and outfit - Lynn?
The jumbo ring holder - Naomi?
The Tetris games - Amy?
The Yarn - Sara?
I love them all!!!
Thanks to whoever they're from. You guys know me well! |

| | Re: (3) 12/13 - Post a gift for your Santa - Final Game thread | | Putting on my Inspector Cleuseau hat, I've made the following deductions about my Secret Santa:
My gifts were a motorcycle, helicopter flight lessons, tee-shirts, a workcenter/office, and a book of poems to help me get lucky. I hate to gender stereotype, but I think its a safe bet that my Santa is packing a Y-chromosome.
He is also a king among geeks when it comes to digging up cool stuff on the web. The motorcycle he found isn't listed anywhere, not even on the home page of the website that had the story.
And he knows me better than just about anyone else here. I could be wrong, but I'd wager my lunch money that my Secret Santa is Joubert.
My gift to him is a week at Yosemite to spend with his boys before they all set out on their lives. Enjoy, amigo. |

| | Re:(1)12/13 - Post a gift for your Santa - Final Game thread | | Gah! I almost couldn't find the reply button.
My Secret Santa thinks she's sneaky,
But Day Number Two gave me a quick peeky.
She's a girl who loves potatoes, or so I hear,
So first is an electronic potato for her to hold dear.
Next, because the yarn girls got her addicted,
A gift certificate might be just the ticket.
At Tess Yarns you'll find merino, silk, and cashmere,
Enough to keep you supplied all through the year.
And lastly, to keep a new Book Xer happy,
Without getting quite too sappy,
A gift certificate to my favorite place
To get all the books stacked high as my face.
I think my SS was Sara! Thanks for all the gifties!

| | Re:(1)12/13 - Post a gift for your Santa - Final Game thread | | I think my Secret Santa was Brian. So... A $1,000 gift certificate to the Motorcycle Superstore so you can pimp your ride... Details on motorcycle rides and clubs particular to your new neighborhood...
A year's supply of fresh tropical fruit to satisfy your sweet tooth in a H&F-friendly sort of way...
And a special South Park gift pack, including a visit to see Matt and Trey and your own autographed poster of the (tri)cycle hero Cartman...
And I will definitely "respect your authori-tay!"

Thank you, Secret Santa, for bringing me so many lovely gifts. I want you to have wonderful things, too.
First, every busy mom needs a vacation. Bu, how to get one while the kidlets are still small? Easy- take them on a cruise. A cake decorating cruise, where you'll create beautiful cakes such as this one:
While you and your family are happily cruising, I'm having some work done in your kitchen. Any top pastry chef needs a reliable oven. How about one which is both conventional and convection?
Just waiting for the trial run of your new range - a new set of decorating tools:
And finally, the Wilton cake decorating yearbook - I hope you don't already have it:
This should keep a creative person like you busy for a while, pippadaisy!
Am I right?

| | Re: (2) 12/13 - Post a gift for your Santa - Final Game thread | | This was a tough one. I had it narrowed down to 4 possible candidates. Then to 2. Now I've made my final selection. Of course, it's probably not even one of the four, but what the hey.
So, to you Phoenixx (Secret Santa or not ) :
I know how much you love your Jeep
But it's far too old for you to keep
The new ones aren't your cup of tea
You really love the Cherokee
So how to get one that's brand new
Here's what we're gonna have to do
Let's you and I go back in time
(Ah fantasy is so sublime)
And when the journey back is done
You'll have yourself this new '01.
Happy Trails and a Wonderful Holiday to you.

__________
My Secret Santa made my life easy so I thought it might be phoenixx. Here is why.
But something told me it might instead be frazzledspice and so it is for her that I picked out a gift. For an advocate of plain speaking, a trip to Independence, Missouri to visit the
which chronicles the life and times of another plain speaking fan:
And to put him context, you'll visit Hyde Park, New York:
and Abilene, Texas:
(That one is not marked well but it is the Dwight D. Eisenhower Library & Museum.)
I hope you enjoy your holidays, frazz, and your journey among the legacies of presidents who were elected without the help of the Supreme Court of dubious electronic voting machines. |

Especially this part!
I alone know which of you are right, and which of you are wrong, and all that I'll say is that some of you are right, and some of you are not!
Enjoy the rest of the gifting! |

| | Re: (6) 12/13 - Post a gift for your Santa - Final Game thread | | Well, thanks, EP, for the gift, but I'm not your Secret Santa! Want to guess again?
I've visited Independence, Missouri, and really enjoyed Truman's home. There were so many artifacts from WWII, including a handwritten will of Adolph Hitler's (apparently he revised his will many times.) Lots of sheet music and a beautiful grand piano, too, for Harry and his daughter.
I am completely stumped about the identity of my Secret Santa. My last gift was a picture of Benjamin Franklin, some pink flowers, and the state drink of Wisconsin (milk.)
I have scoured everyone's bios (what I can find of them) and although there are a number of people who live NEAR Wisconsin (in Michigan and Canada) I can't find anyone who lives IN Wisconsin.
I am therefore going to guess taurusmoon since I know that briansdad hails from Wisconsin (and I'm not sure whether he plays any brass instruments or not....
Wait, wait, wait....I just checked on google again and put in "state beverage of NY" and "milk" and milk is the state beverage of NY, too. That makes it a little easier. We have cristina and sooner in the Adirondacks and eplovejoy in Buffalo. Both of those are about equidistant from Syracuse.....
But I am going to guess eplovejoy, just on a hunch.
And my gift to you is tickets for next year's Toronto International Film Festival, September 8-15, 2005. Some of the films that will be shown can be found on: http://www.e.bell.ca/filmfest/2004/f...s/filmlist.asp

Nine states have milk as their state drink.

He's from Michigan. (The other white bread ) And, although he's full of hot air and often toots his own horn, he does not play brass or any other instrument.

| | Re: (8) 12/13 - Post a gift for your Santa - Final Game thread | | I'm probably guessing incorrectly, but my secret Santa isn't a morning person. I looked at when AuntieEmma posts -and NOPE, no morning posts. That's who I'm guessing.
So for AuntieEmma, here is a collection of luxury chocolates Quote:
Burlwood Chocolate Vault assorted collection
Item V2071
Indulge your passion for chocolate with a luxurious touch to enhance the pleasing ritual of tasting and sharing chocolate. The burlwood chocolate vault is exquisitely designed to showcase its gourmet content: 7 drawers of chocolate. Includes Petit RICHART collection.
