I need a new remote for the VCR because we moved it from the den to the living room so I can use it for exercise tapes.
I like split pea soup.
I was named after my Grandfather. His name was Mordechai - if you can figure that out - you are truly frightening.
I like my coffee with cream and one sweet and low.
I like doing crafts.

When I was a kid I took ballet, tap, point and jazz dance lessons.

Our remotes have never worked with our DVD because it's too cheap.

I've never tried split pea soup, but I can't imagine that I would like it.
Let's see, Mordechai? Well, there's a "de" in there. And an "ai" that just needs flipped. Where'd they get the "L"?
Can't stand coffee.

I like crafts, too, and I tried a new technique tonight that's really pretty except the bottom didn't come out like the picture because I was working from (faulty) memory. Speaking of crafts, I found some pretty crochet patterns at AC Moore today, would you like them, Wormie? I'm quite sure you don't have enough yet.

I never took any kind of movement classes, but I was in marching band so I'm not completely uncoordinated.

My first radio as a child was shaped and colored like a Mickey Mouse head.

I don't know where the "L" came from
I was in band - not marching band. Played flute - not really - I had a flute. I was AWFUL!!
I never had a mickey radio, but I had an orange record player.

I used to have blue hair mascara.

I was in marching band. But I played a flag.

I didn't want to play my clarinet, and the viola wasn't allowed. I went to Florida on a marching band trip when I was a sophomore. I've been to Florida 3 times since, and I would like to move there someday and live on Daytona Beach.

I was in symphony band and pit with my clarinet, tenor saxophone in jazz band, and tuba in marching band. Somehow, I think I got all that backward.

Our Saturn is named General Grevious--though he's much more mannerly than his namesake and doesn't wheeze.

According to a newspaper column I found that my father wrote, I was named after Bridget Bardot because dad thought she 'was a particularly sexy gal' and that the particular spelling was because they 'were under pressure from the author of the birth certificate.' No one ever fessed up to that orally, though.

I like doing crafts, though I've only ever found two that I had any talent for whatsoever. Anything else I do turns out rather pathetic. I can't even color between the lines.

Lesse see, new factoid, *think, think, think* I've forgotten all the years of Russian I took in college--as evidenced when my son asked me how to say "goodbye" and I couldn't come up with 'dos ve danya.'

I name all my cars too. The most recent have been given the same name (I feel like George Foreman).

The '87 Jetta was Otto. He got a last name when he was two weeks old and the leasing program changed dramatically and there was nothing I could do about it. He then became Otto Knobaeder.

My '01 Focus was Otto too. (Or Otto II) His name was Otto Focus.

My '05 Focus is Otto too (Or Otto III). His full name is Otto Habit.

My Explorer's name is Marco.

And, I still have several remote controls strewn about because I cant get all function of all devices to operate on one.

I'm up early every morning. No matter what I do, I can't quite sleep in.

I'm up early because I have to drive to Syracuse very early Monday morning; so I get up early today, get up even earlier tomorrow, and Monday won't be such a shocker (and I'll fall asleep earlier Sunday night).

I have a fairly large wardrobe of formalwear, and actually have opportunities to wear them!

I played the flute too. In band in Jr. High (but not marching band, we didn't have one) and in the Orchestra, and the chamber orchestra. I also played in the high school orchestra. (Yet again, a school that didn't have a marching band.) I haven't played in years. I don't imagine that I could get a single note out of it, were I to try it today.

I love pea soup! In fact, I had it for lunch yesterday.

I used to do quite a few crafts, but this phase in my life finds me very unmotivated.

I've never studied Russian, but I was tri-lingual by the time I started kindergarten. I have since forgotton the other two languages (Hebrew and Hungarian) and find myself struggling with English on some days.

And, I'm still uo early every morning.

Oh, my. Let's see:

I never named a car, although Sooner dubbed mine the "turtle" because it is so slow.

I hate split pea soup. Although whenever I say it, my boys laugh. I prefer brocolli cheddar. Probably because it is so fattening.

I lived in Daytona Beach when I was 21. It was a great experience. Then I moved back to NY when the bugs and snakes started getting to me.

I love crafts, but I am not very good at them. Everything comes out like a 5 year old made it. So, I do crafts with the kids and let them have all the credit for mine, too.

I took Spanish in school. I wish I had taken French - I might have had more opportunity to use it with Montreal not being far away from here. I have forgotten most of my Spanish.

I want to open my own gift basket business.

I ahve to buy dog food today. Only one can left and just a little bit of the dry food.

A unique gift shop sounds great, too. I figured gift baskets would be easier for me - I can do it from home when the kids are in school. (Nicky goes to kindergarten next year.)

I'm stuck on Christmas presents for the kids. I have absolutely no freaking clue where to start.

I don't want to buy Xmas presents for my kids. They have too much and our house is too small.

My mom had several cars with the same name... all Nellie Belles.

I once upon a time spoke nearly fluent Polish and adeuate Spanish. My gf, however, told me that every foreign language I attempt sounds as if I am speaking Polish, even the small smattering of Sicilian dialect Italian that my familiy kept.

And my kids have no idea that the word capisce has an English equivalent.

I like nibbling baby toes. And sometimes chubby baby thighs.

I have to grocery shopping in a little while because the wife is feeling a little under the weather, and I NEVER go grocery shopping. Who knows what I will buy?

AC Moore is one of my most favorite stores. It is a craft store and an arts and crafts store. I shop there at least once a week. I like it better than Michaels.

I played the piano until I was a senior in high school.

My husband and I presently are addicted to sudoku. It is all Amy's fault.

I will go grocery shopping tomorrow, if I can break away from the puzzles.

Things I have in common with fellow ea'ers

I took piano for 5 years.
I drive a Sante Fe (albeit forest green)
I love watching the Apprentice...both Donald and Martha.
I can sneeze 7 times in 4 minutes due to allergies.
I hate asparagus, too (and I think this was discussed in a previous thread)
I have only named some of my cars..usually titles, and not names (the Purple Heap, the Mustard Mobile, "TRUCK", Betty, little Red)
I'm up every morning at 5:30 to help get my husband off to work, but will sleep in til 7:30 on the weekends.

I took piano lessons in the second grade until the teacher whack my wrists with a rolled up music book. I had problems keeping them straight. I guess I named my '71 Duster. I always said sumbitch when it wouldn't start. I never had a Beast unless it was that blind date a long time ago. And I don't nibble on little babies. I used to prosecute people for that.

I can't walk on the knuckles of my toes, but my sister did frequently as a child. We always thought she'd be great at ballet, but she hated dance lessons.

I get a kick out of the fires that start in my oven when I use the self-clean feature. I'm doing that now and freaking out G.
