Ooh, someone knows how homesick I am for mountains!

And that I love Hannah Szenes:

Quote:
Eli, Eli -- Hanah Szenes

O Lord, My G-d,
I pray that these things never end.
The sand and the sea,
The rush of the Water,
The crash of the heavens,
The prayer of woman and man

Wow! What a beautiful gift. Thank you, Secret Santa!

Ooh, a night out on the town!

Quote:
Day One

Let's start the holiday celebration out right--with tickets for you and the wife to the Boston Opera House where the Boston Ballet will be performing The Nutcracker with hundreds of children and a full, live orchestra.

Oh, but we don't want the two of you to have to worry about parking or trekking through the snow from the parking lot to the door, so Santa is throwing in limo service from your door to the Opera House and back.

Will this one be cozy enough?

It'll do. Thanks, Secret Santa!

Cool Prezzies!

Leslie:
I know how much you like to cook, so I stopped in at Williams-Sonoma over the weekend to find you a gift for today. W-S is one of my favorite stores and I went crazy in there, like I always do.
An apron to keep your duds clean while you cook.

Some wonderful stainless steel tools.

And isn't this stainless steel pan set sweet?!

Have a wonderful Monday, and enjoy your new toys!

You need input, because pop music is about freshness, about Nelly Furtado and the maddeningly memorable fourth track on a first album by a band you saw on a late-night TV show. And no, that fourth track is not as good as anything on Pet Sounds or Blonde on Blonde or What's Going On, but when was the last time you played Pet Sounds? - Songbook by Nick Hornby

Here's my Monday gift:

Dear Pippa,
Sorry Monday's present is late. The mall was so crowded! I decided to start with a red dress for the holidays:

Hmm... it's from Hanna...

I got a goody basket!

Frazz,

With 2 older boys and a teenaged girl, you can never have enough snacks around. (We'll pretend your son is home for Christmas!) And since money is no object, I thought you might like this goody basket:

Overflowing with our own handmade Belgian Chocolates & Truffles, our freshly baked Biscotti, decadent handmade Belgian Chocolate Caramel The Perfect Apple apples, assorted gourmet crackers, cheeses, cheese spreads, sausages, smoked salmon, salmon pate, caviar, gourmet mustards, cheese straws, scrumptious cookies, a large selection of our own chocolate drenched kettle corn, chips, pretzels, freshly roasted A Bountiful Harvest blend coffee, imported teas, mochas & cocoas, candies, fruit preserves, deluxe nuts, dried fruits and snack mixes, pasta, flavored Belgian chocolate spoons, non-alcoholic sparkling champagne or juice and more!
My family likes quite a few of the items in this basket! The Belgian chocoloates, assorted cocoas and mochas, cheese straws, and cheeses!

Thanks, Santa!

Okay, I've been trying to figure out where all these threads are-all week. I never thought to look in this forum-so here is my gift for monday
Fridai,

Although you had some stitches emerge after 14 years, I think these stitches might be a more decorative addition to your home:

Love,

Re 12-12-05 Monday SantaWorm Exchange

Oh man - this is so embarrasing. I've had pneumonia and completely forgot that we're supposed to post our loot, so I'm running about a week late, AND I don't know how to copy and paste the entire message from my PM inbox to here.

I got some fabulous-looking artichoke recipes that I can't wait to try, and a box of chocolate penguins from Burdick's. (Actually, I really did get those same goodies for my last birthday, so I know how good they really are!)

Thanks, Santy!
