not a cheerful Santa Wormie, indistinctly endothermy -
Nameless here for evermore.

Back into the website turning, all my posts within me burning,
Soon again I saw a message somewhat bolder than before.
`Surely,' said I, `surely that is something I should not ignore;
Let me see then, what this is, and this mystery explore -
Let my heart be still a moment and this mystery explore; -
'Tis the Worm and nothing more!'

”Open here” I clicked the message, when, with a ghastly presage,
the sender was a ghostly Worm of the spooky days of yore.
Not the least obeisance made she; not a minute stopped or stayed she;
But, with decomposing fingers, typed a message asking for -
Teeming crowds of tricksters, treaters, jokesters, pranksters, to come meet her -
typed her request, and nothing more.

Then her message began beguiling my sad fancy into smiling,
By the haunting wording of the demand it wore,
`Do not haunt me, ghostly worm friend,' I said, `I’ll join in.
Ghastly grim and ancient worm wandering from the games forum -
Tell me who is that person for whom to plan a trick or treat to come!'
Quoth ghostly Wormie, `DrMomentum.'

Much I pondered his thoughts and postings, read his blog and searched for boastings,
Though the results of those searches little relevancy bore;
For I know that he’s terrific
even though we differ politic -
Should I change his ghostly pumpkin as his avator?
I know he’d tell me `Nevermore.'

For days I sat engaged in guessing, but no syllable expressing
To the Worm whose message now burned into my computer's core;
This and more I contemplated, with my fingers tired still waited
On the keyboard's alphabetic choices that the monitor shone faintly o'er,
But whose keyboard pressing with the monitor expressing,
She shall press on, nevermore!

Then, methought, Halloween draws near, and I have no trick or treat cheer
for this DrMomentum whose keystrokes sprinkle on the Symposium floor.
`Wait,' I cried, `his posts indicate the treat he’d adore.
Give him a case of Guiness Stout!
Quaff, oh quaff this elixer, and forget this election lore!'
Quoth the GhostWorm, `Evermore!'

`GhostWorm!' said I, `thing so clever! - still, if worm or whatever! -
Whether heaven sent, or whether EA tossed thee here ashore,
Desolate yet all undaunted, on this website so enchanted -
On this forum horror haunted - tell me truly, I implore -
Is there - is there stout in Massachusetts? - tell me - tell me, I implore!'
Quoth the GhostWorm, `Nevermore.'

`GhostWorm!' said I, `give this to him! – case of Guiness, straight from brewing!
By those grains that bring us to opinions shared -
We may not cometo an agreement,
on politics unless the world ends -
But can we raise a glass of Guiness to our differences galore?'
Quoth the GhostWorm, `Whatevermore.'

`And so my treat for DrMomentum is a case of Guiness sent from -
`wherever beer is brewed with quality forevermore!
Leave my conservative vote as a token of a trick perhaps unspoken!
Leave my treat and trick above his forum floor!
Take my trick in good fun, and take my treat from any store!'
