| | Re SantaWorm gets gifts, too! | | I don't know the jingle. And nobody'd better sing it to me either.
But I'm still puking. Just for principle.

| | Re SantaWorm gets gifts, too! | | Well... it's in the Poconos in PA. I drove through there once and it's a horrible place. There's a lot of "lodges" on one side of the road, and bramble on the other side of the road with deer and cops hiding in it about every 10 feet. It was night when I drove through, but I really had to keep to the very low speed limit even though I was the only person (other than the hidden cops) that I saw for miles).
On TV and in magazines, they make the place sound like paradise, especially for lovers. Heart shaped tubs, or martini glass shaped tubs in your bedroom. Ugh. My friend went and her 300 lb husband was so excited he ran right up the stairs and into the martini shaped tub -- my friend was horrified to see his already huge ass magnified by the glass tub.
I was googling for some photos but I found this Eeps review instead Compare Prices and Read Reviews on Pocono Mountains at Epinions.com -- That might give you the real feel for the Mt Airy Lodge.
All you have to bring is your love of everything! Beautiful Mt Airy Lodge. |

| | Re SantaWorm gets gifts, too! | | Here in Arkansas, they've never even heard of 'beautiful Mount Airy Lodge.' But we actually went there for a weekend once in the 1970's.
Yes, it's a little overblown, but it was a nice, relaxing weekend getaway, too (and we didn't stay at the "honeymoon suite"--it wasn't our honeymoon--although all the rooms were a little bit honeymoonish.)
But you, dear wormie, are still practically on your honeymoon....
(Maybe the honeymoon will never end!)
Merry Christmas to you and Brian, and thanks for all you do.

Tacky can be fun if you enter into it with the right attitude. I'll never forget San Luis Obispo theme hotel that we once visited.... complete with caveman suites up to rooms for prince and princess charming. |

| | Re SantaWorm gets gifts, too! | | Quote: | Mt Airy Lodge is closed. We recommend that you consider the following: Caesars Resorts for couples, Pocmont, Shawnee or Skytop resorts for families. |
It's the end of an era!
Mt Airy Lodge was a great honeymoon resort in the '60s and '70's. Heart shaped and champagne glass bathtubs. Tres Romantique. Unfortunately - they never renovated - and now they are gone!
All you have to bring is your love of everything
at the beauuuuuutiful Mt. Airy Lodge.....
Thanks Fraz! The honeymoon isn't over by a long shot! |

Santa Worm, I know you are such a giving, caring person. And you don't generally want anything for yourself.
In your honor, how about a donation to your local Humane Society's Walk for the Animals?
Happy Holidays, Santa Worm. And thanks for making it so fun for all of us!!!

| | Re SantaWorm gets gifts, too! | | In its day, Mt.Airy Lodge was a beautiful place. I went to college in the Poconos Mountains, and spent a wonderful 4 years in one of the most beautiful areas of PA. Mt. Airy Lodge was one of the classiest places back then, about 30 years ago! I haven't been back there in years, but there is plenty to do in the Pocono Mountains. Yes, they advertise for honeymooners, and some places are very tacky, but there are some very exquisite lodges, phenomenal skiing, and beautiful scenery.

Dear Santa Worm,
I know that you love to crochet, and that you also support our troops. I also happen to know that you are a committed vegetarian, so I've found a way to blend all of these into one swell gift: Killer Korn!
Killer Korn is the head of the Vegetable Liberation Army, or VLA for short.
Quote:
I come to you today on behalf of my VLA brethren to ask you for your assistance. As you may or may not know, our valiant band of stems, leaves, roots and seedpods have been the sole defenders of a produce population subjugated and terrorized, mutilated and sacrificed, boiled and roasted, seared and barbecued, flayed, fried, blanched and marinated, often cruelly bathed in a molten hot sea of phlegmatic Velveeta hell, our only purpose in life to be gorged and consumed by those titans of tyranny otherwise known as humans.
The VLA is looking for a few good folks to help promote their cause. Knowing your tender heart, I know you'll be out there keeping the world safe for carrots everywhere! Happy holidays, Santa Worm, and remember - eat cookies, not cauliflower. Do it for the veggies!
| Annnnnndddd..... Quote:
Since you're going to have to give up veggies, I have something else for you that every cook needs- a turkey cozy!
Happy holidays!
