Hey Pip, just so you know, it's going to be in the mid to upper 70's this week, so make sure your box has plenty of air holes and a couple extra juice boxes.

Re The BOC sign-up sheet

Cindy - your BOC is packed and ready to go but I'm waiting on someone to help me take it to the post office. Honey keeps forgetting to grab it on his way out the door, so it might not go until tomorrow.

Re The BOC sign-up sheet

Delia, mine is all ready to go, except for one item. I'm thinking that I want to wait, since it's worth it. Stay tuned, it might not get here in time. You'll just get it later in that case.

That depends on how interesting the insects are and how they're preserved, but you have to remember that we homeschool and our standards are a bit different than most people.

Re The BOC sign-up sheet

I mailed my crap today. They asked if I needed more than $100 worth of insurance, and I said "No - it's just a bunch of crap." The clerk had no sense of humor.

Re The BOC sign-up sheet

I'll have to remember that one. Except that I won't have to go to the post office, I can just mail it from work.

I was hoping to mail it tomorrow, but due to "special circumstances," it may have to wait until Monday. I hope that's okay! It'll be worth it, I promise.

It's perfectly okay. That'll help me get over the guilt of my own tardiness.

I did not have room in the stroller to get it out today. I'm going to try again tomorrow. I did, however, learn that Butter does not like the Post Office. Rather than run like a crazy person like her older siblings, she decided to throw herself on the floor and wail.

I may try the UPS Store tomorrow. Melanie, who's cuter? Your Brown guy or your mailman?

I got mine out today and the UPS guy said something about shipping an eBay item. I had to tell him the story and he got a big hoot out of it. He also never heard of Woot so I may have made another Woot addict.

Re The BOC sign-up sheet

Okay, I'm sending mine off today finally. I have no excuse except for laziness for it being late!

Fridai, it is crap. Not used yucky crap but definetly crap. I'm including a little (very little) something for Tony and Bekka because there should be at least SOMETHING in a box like that that would be marginally good.

I hope you can at least smile at one or two things!

Re The BOC sign-up sheet

I actually had a dream about this whole thing last night. We all got together, and were exchanging our "gifts," very Christmas-style. All the boxes were in a big bag, and we were passing them out. All the other boxes people were getting were small, and only had three or four items in them, and I was worried because I knew the box I was giving was NOT small, and definitely had more than three or four items. I remember opening my box, and it had a lot of the exact same, small, item, but I can't remember exactly what it was. For some reason I'm thinking it was along the lines of rolls of Lifesavers, but I can't remember exactly. Whatever it was, it was odd, and there were a lot of them.

Re The BOC sign-up sheet

You know, I keep forgetting to check Woot! and just went today and bought the $17.99 MP3 player they had on sale. (that's right, I don't have an iPod already.) Thanks for the round-about reminder!

Re The BOC sign-up sheet

I'm getting mine out today. Partly laziness, and partly that I wasn't going out in tornado weather yesterday, either!

And MJ - - I have Woot set up in my FireFox "Morning Coffee" extension. I never forget to check that way!

Re The BOC sign-up sheet

Mine will go out Monday. I probably could have brought it in with me today, but the box still isn't completely packed, and I have some things yet to do/add. I think it'll be my project this weekend when Nick goes tool shopping with a buddy of his. Given the choice between that and checking insurance policies, I think I'd rather play with crap!

I'm suddenly very afraid.

I'm hoping to send mine out tomorrow. It'll be my only chance to get to the post office.

I just need a couple more things.
