I forgot to mention that the box itself cracked me up. |
Imagine my glee when I found that lying around my office.

| | Soryy Melanie!!! yes, actually. Ugh.
G has been under the weather and yesterday was Buster's birthday... I can't even begin to tell you the horrors. LOL.
Buster wanted "banilla" cupcakes. Well, guess what? We haven't had an allergy-free "banilla" cake mix in eons since our local grocery changed brands and I haven't ordered online. Panic! I had tons of chocolates and NO vanilla! Two batches of trying to screw with a regular cake mix sans eggs, I gave up at went to bed, then did three MORE batches yesterday morning once I went to another store and got some.
I THINK I am done packing your box. I will seal it to prevent myself from adding more things or changing things. Although, having received Elyzabeth's box today...
I need to clear out a room to unload everything from the box to take pictures. Seriously. SEVENTEEN POUNDS OF CRAP! |

Tina, I promise your BOC will be on its way shortly. It was waylaid by a small car accident. I dearly hate snow. |

I hope you're OK. I hope your car is OK. Snow is pretty, but I hate to drive in it.

| | Leslie, I hope you're okay. Sorry to hear about the accident.
I'm a patient crapper, so take your time.
If we ever do this again, I am sending off the costumes I made the kids for their play tomorrow. They are going to look like mutant nursery rhyme animals. Ugh!

Dang him. Poor guy is sick. I may have to reveal my BOC situation to him.
Although... I may have the USB cord somewhere so I can download them directly to the laptop... hopefully I didn't put it in some box...

| | In our box of crap from Tina, there was:
A frog that sings and ribbits "I Feel Good"
A Rooster that cock-a-doodle-doos and sings, "I Feel Good!"
Both sing upon being picked up, looked at with the expression, "What do YOU do?", and after one is totally stymied, puts it back on the table. THEN they sing, etc. The rooster's lips MOVE. They MOVE, I tell ya.
(See why I have to hold them? ;D)
A dog head. Cute! Stuffed. Small. Hartgard yellow lab. Soon to be torn apart and digested by the Siberian husky, if he can climb on the table while I'm not looking.
An Ozzie and Harriet DVD. Ah, when life was simple. My kids won't believe there was really a time without videogames. Eddie Haskell. Now there's a role model for my boys. And the case has pictures of roosters on the back. Do I detect a theme?
A five pack of CDRs, for my collection of rooster pics? ;D Nah, maybe I should transfer my Jake Gyllenhaal photo gallery to these. I might need more.
A thermal coffee mug! THIS is not crap- this is useful!!
A margarita salt kit, with salt, saucer, shotglass, and Worm piercer (at least I think that's what it is- helps you get the worm from the bottom of the tequila bottle? Wormie? Wanna try?)
A CD case, for all them damned cds in my car that have no case. Or to hide the CDRs with the Jake photos.
(Hmm? Never mind, dear. It's nothing important, you know, just some pictures. Drool? I'm sure I'm not drooling. Much.) Thanks, Tina, I needed these!
Ahem. DVD- Rocky Jones, Space Ranger in Crash of the Moons. It does not feature roosters, but may well have been what my parents were NOT watching when I was conceived, being on TV during the year of my birth! LOL!!
It features Robert Crane, though. Cranes, roosters, frogs, dogs...Hmm.
Tina, love the notepaper! I'd like to get some like that, only with my family's pictures and names on it. Wouldn't want to steal yours. ;D
Thank you, thank you, for the Box-o-Crap!! It's awesome!!
-Joan

The corn cob is not really food, by the way. It was from the corn maze at the old Navy dairy farm in Gambrills.

| | Les, I hope you're okay!
Let's see...my crap. First of all, I'm not too happy with the people at my apartment. I checked UPS to see if it had been delivered, and it had, so I called to see if it was at the office. If it was, I was going to have to go pick it up over lunch. If not, I could just get it off my doorstep after boot camp. They said it was there. So I truck all the way up there, only to find out that apparently they thought I was Alisha Johnson (gee, I get that confused with my name all the time too ), and it wasn't infact at the office like they said it was. Luckily, it was at my apartment though, so I was still able to pick it up. Brought it down to my car (it was a heavy 13 pounds!), and tried to rip it open. Mind you, and you'll find out why in a minute, I didn't want to ruin the box at all, just wanted to cut through the tape. But I couldn't get the dang thing open! One badge, nail clippers, and pen later, I finally had it mostly open. It was stuffed full! Lots of bags, so I couldn't dig through much, and had to get to work, so off I went, no more knowledge of my crap than before my drive.
After work I couldn't wait to get into it, so I started digging and opening at stop lights. I made it through most of the box, but couldn't pay too close attention, by the time I got to Nick's work, so I was able to take a closer look (and make a thank you call!) quick before I went in for boot camp. The crap fairy was so good to me!
Took pictures last night, but didn't get the chance to upload them off the camera, so I'll have to wait to post until this weekend. But I got:
Two blue plastic sundae cups. They'll come in handy, but now I wish we had some of those nice, long sundae spoons!
A red, silk-type material, oriental print little makeup bag. I love this! It's a nice little size, and I don't know what exactly I'll use it for yet, but it will get used!
Inside the red bag, there was a globe yo-yo, Epinions squishy guy, and "Fiesta" rubberstamp (unused).
Two really big blue bags with handles. They're hard to describe, but you'll see in the pictures. They'll definitely come in handy.
Inside one blue bag was the book It's All Too Much by Peter Walsh, which looks really interesting. I can't wait to read it. There was also a black drawstring backpack - something I've actually been wanting for a while. Will also come in very handy.
Inside the other blue bag was one of those Ziplock Big Bags (size XL, this thing is huge! 20 inches tall. And hey, "not for use in the microwave." Hello! I could fit my microwave inside the bag, I don't think I'll be using it to reheat anything), and inside that was a bottle of Big Ass Chardonnay. AWESOME!!! Probably my favorite crap of all b/c I collect glass bottles, and this one is not only awesome, but it's also full!
A black Berlitz Publishing gift bag containing a set of "Hide this Spanish..." book, CD, book 101, and book for lovers. The drawstring backpack was also from the same place. These look really interesting as well, and I can't wait to check them out.
For Raven there was a dog brush and comb, which she loves. She doesn't like the brush we had gotten for her, but went nuts last night over these. She was actually begging to be brushed.
A lizard Beanie Baby-type thing that makes really frightening noises when squeezed.
One bag each Pepomint Lifesavers, Wintogreen Lifesavers, and Strawberry Creamsavers. This is actually really funny b/c we eat the wintergreen ones here at work like they're going out of style, and just this past weekend I bought one of the huge bags for one of the guys. And one of my coworkers commented that she was bummed b/c she only likes the peppermint ones. Now everybody can be happy!
Bunny Pasta with Yummy Cheese. That's what the box says at least, I don't know from experience yet.
And a New York Times Magazine from the day before it was shipped.
Overall, a WONDERFUL box of crap. And now I just hope Sara isn't disappointed in her return box.

| | Sounds like a great BOC, Bree! What's the deal with the actual box?
Oh, and I did talk to BIL last night. The car was damaged (not too bad) and everyone was okay. Evidently some punkass kid and snow were involved. (That's about all I got out of him )
