| | SantaWorm Gift Exchange 2007 | | By now all my Elves should have received their giftee’s name, and you all have plenty of time to be sneaky and creative!!!
The game will start on Monday December 17th and continue thru Friday Dec 21st. Each day I will start a new game thread (I may start it the night before). When you receive your gifts you should post them in the daily thread so that everyone can see what you received.
Since the game is being held just before Christmas, the guessing part will take place on Sat December 22nd through Monday December 24th. There will be a new thread for guessing. Each of you should “buy” a gift for the person who you think was your Elf, and post that gift yourself (no need to send it through me) in the final game thread. Then you all can see if you are right or wrong.
Very Important!!! My Reindeer are not used to this cold weather, so I need all of you to help in making the gift delivery easy. PLEASE send a separate PM to me for each gift. It is ok for you to send the gifts to me early, but please send me five unique PMs – don’t send more than one day’s gift in a message. Make sure that the PM title for each gift includes your giftee’s EA Name and the day that each gift should be delivered.
For example: If my Giftee were TheWorm, I would send the following messages:
Monday Gift for TheWorm
Tuesday Gift for TheWorm
Wednesday Gift for TheWorm
Thursday Gift for TheWorm
Friday Gift for TheWorm
Any questions? This is the place to post your questions, or send me a private PM if your question is for my eyes only.
Need help figuring out how to post images and/or links? Just let us know and we can help you.
Happy Holidays to all my Elves and Enjoy the Game! |

| | Re SantaWorm Gift Exchange 2007 | | SantaWorm asked me to post a quick lesson in posting links and images.
Ok... lets try this.
Let's say you wanted to give someone some chocolate covered strawberries. You might want to get them at Shari's Berries.
Their website is here: Gourmet Dipped Strawberries, Chocolate, Unforgettable Gifts--Shari’s Berries®
Copy that address into a new window and open the page. The page address is at the top of your screen in the URL field.
See the icon above the message box that looks like this:
That is the button to hit if you want to embed a web address . If you click that button you'll get a box that asks for the address. If you paste that address into the box and hit ok - it will put the link in your message, like this: Gourmet Dipped Strawberries, Chocolate, Unforgettable Gifts--Shari’s Berries®
see how it is underlined? That means its a click-able link.
Now lets say you want to hide the address in your text, like this: Shari's Berries - that's the same link, but it looks pretty. The way to do that is to first type the wording - in this case "Shari's Berries". Then using your mouse, highlight those words and then click the button, and it will create the "pretty" link.
Try that and see if it works.
Now, to do a picture you want to do a similar thing, but you'll use the button and paste the image URL address in the link.
For example - on that Shari's Berri page you'll see this picture:
Looks, yummy, huh?
Go to the Shari's Berries page using the link above. Put your mouse over that picture and right click. A box will pop up, and one of the options will say "properties". Click that and you'll see an address for the image - in this case it should be: http://www.berries.com/images/us///l...lidaycheer.jpg
If you paste that address into the address field when you click the button, it should insert the image into your post or message like I did above.
Anyone who needs to practice can try to post links and images in this thread. If you have problems, we'll all be here to help! |

Could it be that the IE people can't see it.
Leslie - I'll try to PM it to you. Are you seeing all Xs or can you see any of the images? |

| | Re SantaWorm Gift Exchange 2007 | | Look in your send box. If it shows in your PM to Santaworm, then it will show when Wormie posts it. I just kept trying until I found jpegs and gifs...
