| | Six Feet Under - my guilty pleasure | | All hail the return of Six Feet Under!
This show has been my favorite guilty pleasure since the day it aired, and I am ecstatic that it's new season has started.
If you have missed this show, Salon has written a fantastic review about it (and synopsis of last season for those who need to catch up) here. The HBO websites devoted to their shows leave something to be desired, but the HBO site for Six Feet Under can be found here.
Anyone else suffer from this funereal addiction?

| | I love the show, even though I've never seen an episode.
Our bookstore's assistant manager, however, sees every episode and gives us complete details.
Also, she has the unique vantage point of being the child of a funeral home director, having grown up living in a funeral home.
I look forward to seeing it someday. |

| | We don't have cable, so I've never seen this, but as a former worker in the funeral industry (albeit, cemetery work, not funeral home work) this just sounds downright bizarre!

| | I got cable a couple of weeks ago, and I'm already hooked. It's replaced ER on my must-see-TV list.

| | My bad for not seeing this thread earlier. I love Six Feet Under!
I didn't see it last night...choosing to watch the NBC special on Late Night TV instead. That was hard, a brand new episode of Six Feet Under just sitting there!
Don convinced me though to wait for the replay tonight at 10:00...so SHHHHHH, don't tell me what happened!
(Six Feet Under is my official favorite show now. GASP, it edges out The Sopranos, if you can believe that. )

| | Having to choose between programs like that is the reason I LOVE my Dish Netwrok service!
I get the West Coast and East coast time zone of all channels - if I miss it at 9 on Sunday east coast time, I can just watch the west coast channel at 12.
Love that feature! And yes, I will wait patiently until you've seen the most recent episode, because I want someone to tell me what actress played the new character...
Leslie <- who also watches WOF and Jep at 10 and 1030 Pm so her honey doesn't have to watch it... |

| | Oops, sorry I didn't see this earlier, Leslie. The recap if you still need it:
-- It's been a year since Nate Sr. passed away. Everyone at some point has a flashback to his/her last conversation with him.
-- Nate and Brenda go to her mom's place for dinner; the surprise guest is Billy, newly released from the hospital.
-- Ruth hosts holiday dinner at her house; Keith and his niece turn up at the last moment.
-- Nikolai is attacked (cause unknown); Ruth insists that he convalesce at her house.
-- Billy continues his e-mail relationship with Claire.
-- Claire breaks off her offline relationship with her new boyfriend (whose name escapes me).
-- Freddy tells his wife the truth about Ramon; she then tells Ramon's wife.
