Whatever happened to...

Post your lost bands here. Surely SOMEONE will know what happened with them.

Whatever happened to Cake?

Honestly, they were never my favorite band or anything, but I used to hear them on the drive into work sometimes couple of years ago. Thought they were funny. Are they still out there playing and I just don't know?

They just haven't had a hit. They did an album last year on Columbia called Comfort Eagle

Your old music cannot sustain you through a life, not if you're someone who listens to music every day, at every opportunity. You need input, because pop music is about freshness, about Nelly Furtado and the maddeningly memorable fourth track on a first album by a band you saw on a late-night TV show. And no, that fourth track is not as good as anything on Pet Sounds or Blonde on Blonde or What's Going On, but when was the last time you played Pet Sounds? - Songbook by Nick Hornby

Crowded House in the house?

I always liked that group from down under. I guess they've gone under.

brian_igo will become famous soon enough

I can't find a link, but there was a story in Tuesday's Chicago Tribune about Crowded House. The lead singer is still working and he has a pretty heavy duty following in Europe and Asia.

If you do a google search on his name you might be able to get some recent information.

I've wondered what has happened to Jane Wiedlin. She was in the Go Go's and I know they got back together for a reunion tour last year. But she also did some solo stuff that I thought was a lot cooler than the Go Go's stuff.

Oh, and does anyone else remember Stan Ridgeway from Wall of Voodoo? (Mexican Radio) He also tried a solo career and did the theme to "Rumblefish" with Stewart Copeland of the Police.
