Looking for help, music lovers

Waaaaaaaaaayyyyy back when, when I was in junior high school, there was a song a friend played from a 45 for me.

I believe it was by Dolly Parton, and it was a sad little song.

If I recall correctly, it was about a little girl that basically had no one but her dog.

I thought it was like Me and Andy? But I cannot find anything in Dolly's history resembling this song.

Do any of you know what song I am thinking about.

Help!! This has been ( ) driving me crazy for a long time!

Thanks!

I was just thinking about this song a couple weeks ago.. how weird is that? The song exists and is called "Me and Little Andy", one of the saddest songs I've ever heard. Here's more...

http://www.walrus.com/~suave/hall/dolly/dolly2.htm

Upon closer inspection, it seems the page makes a mention of Dolly "demonically channeling the voice of the little girl". I dunno what they mean by that

All my reviews on a single page... imagine that.
