| | Stuck in your head... and you're glad | | Usually I am terribly unhappy when a song gets stuck in my head, because they are usually the songs I hate.
But today I've had a song stuck in my head in the good way. I've had "Tiny Dancer" by Elton John stuck in there. Since it popped in there, I've listened to it countless times, and I just keep loving the song more and more. And even when it's not playing, "hold me closer tiny dancer. Count the headlights on the highway..." keeps popping up in my head.
Sigh. Sometimes its good to get songs stuck in your head.
Anyone else have any songs stuck in their head, in a good way? |

| | This happens to me all the time. Right now, it's Eliza Carthy's "Train Song" ... probably because it lends itself so well to rhumba.

| | Oh yeah. Everyday (you can guess who) -
Pick me up, oh, from the bottom
Up to the top, love, everyday
Pay no mind to taunts or advances
I take my chances on everyday
Left to right
Up and down, love
I push up love, love everyday
Jump in the mud, oh
Get your hands dirty with
Love it up on everyday
All you need is
All you want is
All you need is love.
All you need is
What you want is
All you need is love. |

| | I sometimes have a hymn stuck in my head after services on Sunday. That's usually a good thing.
Often I'll have a song during my morning drive to Indy that stays with me during the day. I rarely have an irritating song stuck in my head -- I guess I'm lucky so far... |

I will definitely have to watch it sometime. The scene you are talking about is mentioned in the above review. Thanks for bringing this to our attention, Michael.

| | I do think of the scene from Almost Famous when I hear the song. I don't think I've ever seen a scene in a movie that supported a song so well. They looked almost like they were created together. In fact, I wouldn't have known I liked the song if it weren't for that movie
Sharon, it's a fantastic movie. You have to see it! |

| | Yes. I never complain when anything from Simon and Garfunkel's "Concert in Central Park" shows up on my neurons. But my most favorite are satire or comedy songs, all with titles too bawdy to be repeated here.
(But fellow pervs owe it to themselves to order the CD from DaVinci's Notebook- right now. www.davincisnotebook.com)

I had Forest Green running in my head yesterday. I'm also partial to "Grant us wisdom, grant us courage for the facing of this hour" (O Waly Waly) when I'm at work. Some reason it just fits...

Oooh ... I've had her song "All Souls Night" in my head recently. I love that song. Such a haunting melody, and lovely lyrics!!!
The only song that routinely gets stuck in my head (in a bad way) is the theme tune from "I Dream of Genie" ... not the words - if there were any - just the quirky tune. I can often picture Barbara Eden with that cool pony tail and eye makeup.
I always wanted a bedroom like the inside of her bottle. *sigh*
Dang ... now I have THAT song in my head again. | | |
