| | You make me feel like dancing ... | | I'm not sure if it is the fact that I've only had 3 hours of sleep, or that I've had nothing but coffee and diet coke for the last 20 hours or so ... but ... I feel like dancing.
Or more specifically I've got the song "You make me feel like dancing ... I wanna dance the night away ... " stuck in my head.
So, what gets your toes tapping on this lovely Friday?

| | I just deduced that Hootie and the Blowfish are playing our summer work concert (shhhh, it's a secret), so I HAD "Every Time I Think of You" playing in my brain-jukebox.
But now I've got the BeeGees :blech: going. Thanks, Katherine

| | Is the lack of sleep due to motherhood? If so, I understand.
It's hard to think over the rugrats music coming from the game site, but I'll try...
Eric Clapton's, She's Gone
and
Sonic Flood's, I Want to Know You
Now, got to let the rugrat play continue...ugh

Danced in the sun together
Danced when the other folk had gone upon their way
One-and-two-and-one-and-two-and
Wheeeeee!

| | I had Sinatra on a little while ago. This particular CD (disc 1, "My Way" best of collection) has a bunch of stuff that's good for foxtrot/lindy hop/swing practice.

| | Well, the other day - in the depth of my dispair - I had to laugh out loud when I found myself singing:
" if in a little while from now, I'm not feeling any less sour, I promise myself to treat myself and visit a nearby tower. Rising to the top, I'll throw myself off, blah blah blah, alone again, naturally".
Now I'm trying to control my musical mind better.
Sticking to musicals:
"I whistle a happy tune, and every single time the happiness in my tune convinces me that I'm not afraid. blah blah blah - 'cause when I fool, the people I fear, I fool myself as well....."
I need to get back to normal. I usually like "Touch Me" by The Doors. |

| | Ahhhh!!!
This is so weird, I had the same experience last night. (Not with Leo Sayer-THANK GOD!) I had "I Wanna Be Sedated" stuck in my head so I queued up all my old punk favorites on Winamp. Much bouncing around my little home office followed.

| | The newer version of the Eagles' "Hotel California" has always made me want to dance.
And agree on Kenny Loggins' "I'm Alright."

Dancing... It must be something south-American or Caribbean: samba, mambo, rumba in particular. Tango will always get me on my feet; anybody game?

| Oh my goodness, this song is starting to grow on me too. First two times I heard it were in the movie theater, and the second time I knew it was coming because they played the exact same songs in the same order and everything. Now the song has a real dark ambience for me. I still think it's hilarious how he starts the word "days" a lot sooner than you think he's supposed to. I have to make fun of it every time the song is even mentioned. Can't argue with ya though, the song's got a great beat.
A few others that I am seriously digging lately, oldies (to me anyway) but goodies...
