Question Jukebox

from HELL

The radio station did a funny thing this morning. They had people call in to say which song they would have on their Jukebox in hell. If you were in hell and had to listen to one song endlessly, the song that would most drive you nuts, what would it be?

Let's fill up our own EA jukebox from hell. What are you putting in there?

Re: Jukebox

I think that if I listen to any song long enough, I'll find something to like about it. But, the one that goes "Loving you is easy cuz you're beauful, eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" would probably grate on my nerves. Just thinking about it makes me cringe. :shuddder:

Re: Jukebox

I Believe I Can Fly.

Insipid song to begin with, but it was everywhere in 1997. And I was working in the group home at the time, so at every stinkin' graduation ceremony or talent show or whatever that I attended for one of the 12 kids, that STUPID song was played or sung ad nauseum.

Minnie Ripperton. Dead. 5 octave voice.

The Lion Sleeps Tonite would be mine. Ugh, I hate that song. After that, any rock and roll song covered by a country band. Makes no difference which one, they ALL suck.

Re: Jukebox

ANOTHER ONE!

Magic Carpet Ride -- new/old/any version

(though I will fully admit to anything "Celine Dion" being pretty damn awful)

Alice's Restaurant. And I have to agree with MJ about I Believe I Can Fly. Just too insipid.

Alice's Restaurant.

That song is religion in my household!

Of course, we do only listen to it once a year.

Me? Lord, there were so many of them from my growing up years.

Afternoon Delight sky rockets in the night, afternoon delight! Puke.

Muskrat Love

Billy Don't Be a Hero ...and as he started to go-o, she said, "Billy keep your head low-o. Billy, don't be a hero, come back to me.

Seasons in the Sun We had joy, we had fun, we had seasons in the sun....

The single WORST line from a song is in that one: the only stars that we could reach were just starfish on the beach.

Having My Baby you're a woman in love and I love what's going through you.....could have swept it from your life but you wouldn't do it, no you wouldn't do it.

Wildfire and she ran calling .... Wildfiiiiiiiiiiiiire!

Puke.

The thing that frightens me is that I know the words to these songs and now they are in my head!

Andrea

Re: Jukebox

MacArthur Park

Spring was never waiting for us, girl
It ran one step ahead
As we followed in the dance
Between the parted pages and were pressed
In love's hot, fevered iron
Like a striped pair of pants
