Has anyone heard anything on why Lars was unable to perform last night & was hospitalized?

They said that 2 drummers were asked to step up last minute and play so Metallica could go on stage. I guess Slipknot's drummer (Joey Jordison) and 1 Slayer's drummer stepped up to the plate & played for the band.

But, what I wonder, is what happened to Lars.

(On a side note, I am pretty impressed that a little fellow Iowan was playing with Metallica...Slipknot's drummer's got to be pretty impressed too!)

That is sooooo unusual that a star like this can keep something under wraps. That's so impressive!

The only thing that I'm turning up is that he was hospitalized in May for an undisclosed problem problem in Switzerland. Nothing more recent.

Very odd.

Was there a concert cancelled?

Not that I have heard. The other 2 drummers, one from Slipknot and one from Slayer stepped up to cover that night's show and the drum tech for Lars stepped in on a couple of songs.

But, that's the last I have heard/seen.

I work with someone who knows Lars personally. I'll see what I can find out if anything. If he's a good friend... he'll prolly keep his lips sealed. But I wanna know too!
