He was a gifted actor. It always amazed me to see movies in which he was young and handsome, like "Guys and Dolls" or "A Streetcar Named Desire."
In his later years, he appeared to be leading such an unhealthy lifestyle that I was amazed he lived to be 80.
I guess the moral is that if you can live on a completely stress-free South Sea Island you can keep some of your other vices and still lead a long happy life.
