Pierce Brosnan says that "that's it" for Bond. Quote:
Bosses at film studio Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer are staying tight-lipped about whether Pierce Brosnan will play 007 in the next James Bond film.
President Chris McGurk says "casting issues" are yet to be resolved after Mr Brosnan, 51, was reported as saying he would no longer be 007.
He has played the spy four times since 1995's GoldenEye with Die Another Day, in 2002, ending his contract as Bond.
| The oddsmakers favor:
Clive Owen - 11/4
Hugh Jackman - 3/1
Colin Farrell - 7/2
Orlando Bloom - 5/1
Jude Law - 7/1
Christian Bale - 8/1
Gerard Butler - 8/1
Ewan McGregor - 8/1
Greg Wise - 12/1
Jeremy Northam - 12/1
Russell Crowe - 14/1
Robbie Williams - 100/1
My vote is for Jackman. |

Did you know that Gerard Butler is the Phantom in the Phantom of the Opera musical coming to the big screen in December?

| | Re: Who Will be the Next James Bond? | | Ooh, Hugh Jackman.
I thought he was hideous when Jeremy got hooked on the X-Men movies. Yuck! What was all the hoopla about? Then saw him on something else and.........
Anyway, I think he has the look, the charimsa, the style. Who in the heck is Clive Owen?????

| | Re: Who Will be the Next James Bond? | | All wrong. You heard it here first — I was signed to be the next Bond. They were getting in a creative rut with a series of suave handsome men so they decided for a change to go with a flubby middle-aged guy and I’m their man.

| | Re: Who Will be the Next James Bond? | | I loved Eric Bana in "Troy" and thought he outshone Brad Pitt and Orlando Bloom (of course, the role of Hector was probably the most sympathetic and heroic of the three, certainly much more than the immature Paris.)
I still can picture Hugh Jackman doing the suave, debonair aspects of Bond much better.
I think Bana's Bond will be closer to Sean Connery's than Pierce Brosnan's. |

Personally, I like our Erik -- it'd be a nice change of pace, and awesome publicity for the board. However, if they can't afford him , Jude Law or Jeremy Northam gets my vote. | | |
