Thom Steinbeck's comment is telling:

"Whether if by discussing these things and bringing them out, he could prevent what he feared might happen to his own family."

Another argument against the current trend of extending copyright way past what the founding fathers had intended. (The original terms were for fourteen years and, constitutionally, congress has the power to extend them which it has done routinely. The current terms (which keep being raised by the Disney lobby everytime the copyright on Mickey Mouse is heading towards expiration) has more or less locked everything post 1920 up. I think it's unfortunate both for the culture and for the estates that become so consumed with these issues.)
