I was Desperate last night....

Not really, but I watched Desperate Housewives anyway. Anyone else catch it? I think it's a little racy to be on before 9:00 CT, but it was hilarious. Hubby and I were rolling about Mike's comments about Susan's Mac and Cheese - "Burnt, yet undercooked...how'd you do that?" because we live that.

And the blonde woman (can't remember her character's name, the former exec turned SAHM) going into the swimming pool and dragging her three boys out in her long black dress....

I hope it continues to live up to the premier. I don't watch much TV, but this one will be on my "must see" list.

Grrr... I missed it! I wanted to watch it, but of course, FOOTBALL was on. God, I hate winter.

The blonde is Felicity Huffman, wife of William H. Macy and late of one of my very favorite shows: Sports Night which I still mourn.

The episode last night was very funny very often. If the others live up to the first, it's going to be an excellent series.

I watched this one because Felicity Huffman, who is terrific in the sadly cancelled Sports Night, is in it but was suprised to find myself liking Terry Hatcher. After those annoying Radio Shack commercials she did with Howie Long, I didn't think that would be possible.

Oh, there's baseball, the sox are still in it I think (wild card). I just get to turn it off for football and hockey - house rule. nearly 200 games a season is JUST TOO FRIGGIN MUCH! lol

I stumbled into it while looking for something to watch before Dead Like Me. I loved it! I hope they keep it on Sunday nights so I can continue to watch it.

I watched it last week then again last night. Kinda so so for me (though I did tune in to it at the cost of having to tweak the TV so I can't play DVD's without tweaking it back--I was kinda digging the Boston Legal show too).

I don't really care for the voiceover chick and am feeling as though it is spoonfeeding me what I should think about things. It wouldn't be so bad if it were just a bookend sort of thing (though the digging scene at the end of the first episode felt like too much information or at least too manipulative) but then it kinda goes on about what dead people can see/do, etc.

The other problem I have is that I guess everyone is just a bit too desperate. I mean geeze I wish *I* had a couple of women like Teri Hatcher and the other woman decide to throw themselves at me when I moved into my place. The guy is (in concept) a plumber for Pete's sake! I can do plumber for that sort of attention

I think the oddball Stepford wives deal is kinda odd too given that I really don't know anyone like that per se.

The newsy one is a scream. She just uncovers all the "dirt". I'll bet she knows what MaryAlice did.

I loved the scene with the boys running to get into the car and buckling up their seat belts!!

I caught the rerun of the premiere on Saturday, and then saw the second episode on Sunday. I thought it was really good -- and the second episode was better than the first. Wormie -- yeah, I think it's VCR worthy, and don't worry about missing the beginning. You'll figure it out. Also, they're going to be rerunning episode 2 this Saturday night, so if you can tape that, all you'll have missed is the first episode.

Most definitly VCR worthy. Marissa is home, and watched #2, and she is hooked. She is begging me to tape the next episodes so she can watch over Thanksgiving.

Second episode was not quite as good as the premier, but I'm hooked. So is hubby.

I really wish it was on an hour later, however. I can do without chasing my son out of the room when Gabby is doing the gardener. (Isn't he just the sweetest boy?

I've missed all the episodes - I was atching Six Feet Under, then I got into Extreme Home Makeover with Ty Pennington (yep, I'm a closet Trading Spaces junkie), then I was out of town for the last three weeks, so I keep missing it. Is it on a movie channel? If so I can see it all on On Demand this week and see what all the fuss is about - though I doubt it's honey's type of show

I'm a huge D'Onofrio fan.

Housewives is on right after Extreme Makeover The Home edition on whatever network that is

I love EMTHE....last week when they built the house for the little girl who is allergic to the sun, I was choking up the whole time. I like the way they do the makeovers - they are still functional while being cool.

My mom and I are huge EHM fans. My only question is (my mom actually brought it up) is what happens to some of these families with no money? How are they able to maintain the house afterward and pay taxes?
