Have you heard of this movie?

It seems to be in a limited release, not a mainstream movie.

Last night I listened to an interview with one of the filmmakers. It sounds like quite an ambitious movie with thought-provoking themes.

I've heard of it -- the reviews I've seen have been bad ones. A title like that just invites wisecracks.

Human consciousness is an emergent property of the chemical activities of brain cells. These activities happen at size and time scales vastly larger than the ones at which quantum mechanical effects become significant. People who say that quantum mecahnics has anything to do with consciousness are trying to sell you something.

So has anybody else seen this movie? I saw it and liked it.

As stated it might not be true but the message was a good one. Empowering.

Yes, went to the theatre. It really is a strange movie. Kind of mixture of regular movie and a documentary. I don't understand quantum physics enough to know if all of the stuff they claim is true, some seemed way out there. I did like how it purported that we do not use our minds enough and they are more powerful than we can even imagine. If you go to see it with an open mind you might not think you wasted the price of ticket which is how I often feel when I leave the theatre.

They do mix some religion in it and I think you could take it either way. Either there is a very powerful God we do not understand or the powerful force is our minds.

It sounds fascinating. I hope I'll be able to see it someday. It is unlikely it will ever play in a theatre near me, but perhaps it will come out on DVD.

I am completely surprised that it played anywhere in Idaho. On their website it gives show locations.

I've been reading reviews about it and they are all over the place hate it, love it). What I hate is when I liked the show and thought there was something to it and then someone just poops all over it! Guess it is good to hear both sides.
