Ouch! We use cowbells in one or two of the songs in my church band. We also have an electronic drum set (except for the cymbals, which are acoustic.)

I'm seated next to the singer who holds the cowbell, and when she holds it in front of the mike, it can be truly earsplitting as it comes through my monitor.

I hope she never learns about the "RAD." Her miked acoustic cowbell is plenty powerful enough.
