Book Crossing

I just found a fascinating web site:

Book Crossing

It talks about a new way to share books. You read it, post a journal entry there and then give the book away. They give you an ID number so you can trace how far the book goes and how many people read it.

One of the top book crossers has given away 697 books.

Question Reposting my reviews

I read the TOS finally, and I have a question about reposting reviews I write here to Book Crossing or elsewhere.

As long as I include the blurb (with links) indicated by Eps ("for more reviews like this see..."), could I repost my reviews on other sites, like amazon.com or Book Crossing?

I've seen some comments here about folks violating the TOS and I was unclear whether posting WITH ATTRIBUTION TO EPINIONS to sites with many contributors was against the rules.

Thanks!

NOTE:
I edited this message after reading a helpful note from theeye; I did indeed mean to post this here, specifically relating to the Journal Entry feature at Book Crossing. I reworded the question to make that clearer.

And she did answer: No, re-posting is not allowed at those sites, even with links to Epinions, but at my own site would be okay. Thanks!

Ah, now I see. I couldn't understand why you were posting this question here and gave you an overly detailed explanation of how to open a new thread which, despite your generous characterization, was actually Not Helpful.

But here's a suggestion: if Book Crossing is ok with it, you could just post a link to your Epinions review along with a brief note that your impressions of the book can be found there. That, needless to say, is quite all right with Epinions and might kill a few birds with one stone.

Also, from what I could tell, BookCrossing reviews tend to be pretty short (though, I only looked at a handful, and we know how deceptive that can be!). So if BookCrossing does NOT allow a link, you could write a synopsis of a book review that you have at Epinions.

That, as far as I know would be legal.

I'm taken with the whole concept though--of giving books away that touch you in some way.
