| | I admit it! I watch Idol. I didn't always, but I'm hooked, I like it, and this season I'm emotionally involved. I'm watching the finale.
I fear that Kerry will win, and while she's very tallented and adorable, I'm going to be in a tizzy if Bo doesn't win. I love Bo!!!!
Go Bo!!!
Can they stop with the cheese and get to the winner already. These shows are torture - though I did love the national anthem!! |

| | Not happy either, and I don't understand it, since no matter WHERE I hit online or who I talked to, that wasn't who they voted for. |

| | I actually tried to vote for Bo last night. I got busy, but every time I got through it said "this toll free number has been discontinued - no further info" I think it was rigged. |

| | Bummer. I don't watch it either...but was hoping for Bo.
I LOVE watching the people that attempt to sing and think they are really good & go in front of the judges.
Those clips make me laugh.

| | Me too. Apparently to my disadvantage, since I thought that someone in the quiz had won American idol.

| | I wanted Bo to win, too. I figure that he will be cutting an album soon, too, though, and I'll be there to buy it. And Carrie is quite talented, but I thought that Bo did a much better job with the original American Idol song than she did.

| | I voted Bo 3x and then Michelle voted Carrie 3x, so our votes cancelled each other out.
Frankly, both were awesome choices. The title is actually fairly meaningless to either of these two, they'll both have awesome careers.
I just hope that Carrie doesn't let the fame go to her head and become, say, Brittney. |

| | Bo will do great, but I really wanted him to win. Kerry is tallented and cute and they were both deserving.
The thing is, Bo is a rocker. The songs that they forced him to sing were not in his genre - but none-the-less he did ok (the songs were awful, though). If you asked Kerry to sing a real classic rock song, she wouldn't be able to. For idol, the singers must be able to sing various styles, but the song choices definately favored Kerry's style over Bo. I think that while they're both tallented and both have great voices, Bo is more polished and a better overall performer. He's do well though.
Clay has made the most money so far. We've heard nothing from Rubin and Fantasia (although I think Fantasia is amazing). Kelly's songs are horrific. Bo will have a good career ahead of him, and Kerry will have a few good years in the country pop circuit. |

| | Since Checotah, OK is only 70 miles away from me, Carrie Underwood's win has gotten lots of media attention here.
Some Carrie trivia:
A few years ago, Carrie Underwood entered a talent show at the Arklahoma State Fair (an "in between states" fair, not as big as a state fair.) She came in 5th!
I also learned that in Checotah, when she was thirteen, the owner of a car dealership decided to "sponsor" her. He got her a band (I've met one of the guitarists in this early band several times; he's become a Christian recording artist and is in Nashville recording a CD.) He sent the band out to local venues to promote her career. (But even with this sponsorship, she only came in 5th in the Arklahoma Fair....)
My HS daughter said that a boy in her class had dated either Carrie or her sister. (Since Carrie is 22, I guess it would have to be a sister.) He has a picture of Carrie in his wallet, when she was younger.
Most people here were rooting for Carrie.
Daughter loved Anthony. I liked Anwar of the megawatt smile and Anthony.
I wasn't really invested in the outcome one way or another. When Bo was on the ropes a few weeks ago, he said, "If I lose, I'm just going to go back home to my band and keep making music..." I liked that attitude.
Carrie, I think, was much more heavily invested in winning.... |

| | Tho I prefer Bo's style over Carries, she can sing, thats for sure.. she's a bit raw, but she will do fine on the country side..
