Question Any S.J. Perelman fans here?

I was just wondering if there were any S.J. Perelman fans here.
If so, how do you feel about the recent release of THE MOST OF THE MOST OF S.J. PERELMAN, edited by Steve Martin?

Talking

"I'll Always Call You Schnorrer, My African Explorer"? THAT S.J. Perlmann!!??

Haven't thought of him in years, but I can tell I have to get this book. I am also
a huge Steve Martin fan.

Thanks!

Yep, that Perelman! It includes that little number as well as his "Cloudland Revisited" series, which most folks consider to be his best ever. There's one review of it on Epinions.

Perelman and Groucho had a real love/hate affair in real life. Perelman envied Groucho's popular successes and Groucho wanted nothing more than to be a great comedy writer.
They were too alike to be good friends.

Guess it's just you and me, babe.

When I was a kid I always did my Oral Book Reports on stuff that nobody else had ever heard of. Jerome K. Jerome, S.J. Perlman, Adele Davis ("Let's Cook It Right"). (Cross-reference to Geek thread). Not cool.
