He had also been on "L. A. Law".

This is very sad.
I truly enjoyed him and his most recent character.
It is ironic that in the WW show he almost died there not that long ago, isn't it?

I saw a "purely speculative" post somewhere the other day suggesting that the ticket's VP slot could be filled by Sam Seaborn. Wasn't Lowe written out of the series because he and Sorkin weren't getting along? And isn't Sorkin no longer involved with the show on a day to day basis? And Seaborn's now a Congressman from California which Santos has pretty much writtem off because Vinick's a Senator from there. Yeah, probably won't happen but...
BTW, would ANY Dem running for President write off california?  |

Lowe was written out at his request because he was pissing and moaning that he was getting second billing to (and not as much money as) Martin Sheen.
Although you never know... there's always the next Hallmark movie about the Christmas Shoes...
