| | What's in your CD player? | | I need some new tunes. But I do like most what's in my changer right now.... Best of Johnny Cash (boy, does this one stick out like a sore thumb, but I like ol' Johnny) Bare Naked Ladies (the one with "One Week") Rob Thomas solo CD Best of REM Best of Chicago (about 2 good songs on this one...others are all wimpy blech sappy crap, I think I got it at a garage sale for a buck) Jill Sobule (Margret...she was beautiful, Margret, all yellow curls)
What are you listening to right now? Inspire me to pick up something new.

| | Re What's in your CD player? | | So far I am not feeling inspired. Bridgette, by NEW, I mean new to me. I listen to a lot of "new" stuff, but I just need to get out of my rut.

| | Re What's in your CD player? | | Because I mostly listen to music on iTunes on my computer or in the car. I asked for the ION turntable last Christmas. I didn't get it. I'm trying again this year. |

| | Re What's in your CD player? | | I think I'm a little out of sync, but maybe you can find some ideas:
(Mostly review stuff, but some I just like):
Corvus Corax, Best of (German medieval pop)
Qntal, Tristan und Isolde (more German medieval pop, electronic variety, on the theme of. . .)
Philip Glass, Symphony No. 8
The Tallis Scholars Sing Josquin (masses, motets, etc. -- just beautiful)
John Luther Adams, The Mathematics of Resonant Bodies (heavy-duty avant-garde, from a member of Bang on a Can)
Music of the Ottoman Empire: Turkish Classical Music (sort of speaks for itself)
Given what you've listed, you might like Corvux Corax and Qntal.
(Easy listening candidate: Central Javanese gamelan. There's a nice series out on Felmay.)
Hey! You asked!

| | Re What's in your CD player? | | Lets see right now:
Shooter Jennings Electric Rodeo
Chris Brown
Black Eyed Peas
Gretchen Wilson All Jacked Up
Soundtrack to The Lady Killers
it's an interesting mix. I really like Shooter Jennings(Waylen Jennings son), this is his 2ed CD.

| | Re What's in your CD player? | | Ooh, #1 bought a new CD:
Sugarland! Quote:
Friday, payday, Lordy got to get away
Had it with the wife thing, living on a shoe string
What’s a poor girl got to do just to have some fun?
All these years without any help
Guess what, honey, clothes just don’t wash themselves!
Neither do dishes, neither does the bathroom floor
So, now if anyone asks, not that they would
I’ll be down in Mississippi and up to no good

| | Re What's in your CD player? | | I've decided I need the Stoned Sour CD. I've been listening to the college station a lot lately and they are playing some very cool stuff, including the last Johnny Cash (which is NOT on the CD I have in my car) single.
