Best of Chicago (about 2 good songs on this one...others are all wimpy blech sappy crap, I think I got it at a garage sale for a buck)

Mud On The Tires, by Brad Paisley. I love all of the songs on this CD. Some make me laugh, and a couple make me cry. |

Because I mostly listen to music on iTunes on my computer or in the car. I asked for the ION turntable last Christmas. I didn't get it. I'm trying again this year. |

I think I'm a little out of sync, but maybe you can find some ideas:
(Mostly review stuff, but some I just like):
Corvus Corax, Best of (German medieval pop)
Qntal, Tristan und Isolde (more German medieval pop, electronic variety, on the theme of. . .)
Philip Glass, Symphony No. 8
The Tallis Scholars Sing Josquin (masses, motets, etc. -- just beautiful)
John Luther Adams, The Mathematics of Resonant Bodies (heavy-duty avant-garde, from a member of Bang on a Can)
Music of the Ottoman Empire: Turkish Classical Music (sort of speaks for itself)
Given what you've listed, you might like Corvux Corax and Qntal.
(Easy listening candidate: Central Javanese gamelan. There's a nice series out on Felmay.)

I've decided I need the Stoned Sour CD. I've been listening to the college station a lot lately and they are playing some very cool stuff, including the last Johnny Cash (which is NOT on the CD I have in my car) single.
