what is it with the popularity of "cheating" songs? Quote:

I like the opposite ones- the 'I'll whack him if he cheats' sort of ones. CArrie Underwood's is good: Quote:

Same Old Lang Syne has the same theme - old boyfriend/girlfriend, he's single she's married but not in love with her husband, always had an undercurrent of "I'm carrying a torch for you" to me.

Okay, I'll admit, I love the Hinder version of "Lips..." But the Jack Ingrim (?) one drives me crazy. I'm not a fan of the lyrics/story, for obvious reasons, but I still love the song.
And I really love the Carrie Underwood song, they played it as the rebuttal to "Lips..." when it first came out.

Funny - over the weekend Jay and I went to a karaoke bar, and so many women sang songs of cheating men. I HATE HATE HATE those songs. Old ones like "Nobody" by Sylvia or that "Love Fool" one - you know: Quote: Lately I have desperately pondered,

I like the Hinder song. I hear it more as a song of unrequited love and unfulfilled longing than cheating. It's not like they DO it or anything.
