| | Re American Idol Season 6 | | And those manners??? Arrogance doesn't work for a really talented performer. It really doesn't work for someone who couldn't piss on key.
But-
Gina- OMG!
Jordan- OMG!!!
And if Blake had a CD out right now, I would be at amazon buying it. I thought those two girls totally made the show tonight. And please- someone slap Sanjaya and teach him how to be polite to grownups? |

| | Re American Idol Season 6 | | Jordan made mush of a great song. Gina was good but boring, though I admit to hating the ballad-fest that is AI. Blake was good, but not his best. Chris sucked. Sanjaya sucked. Phil might be a sleeper contender. Not because he is good, but because he is staying under the radar and not sucking as bad as the rest. Melinda was good but boring. Lakisha is good but lacks the personality of Melinda. Hailey snarfed a perfectly good song. That guy that looks like a MonChiChi was average.
Hoping Sanjaya goes this week, but not likely.
Bottom three prediction?
Sanjaya, Chris, MonChiChi dude |

| | Re American Idol Season 6 | | That's other Chris. Boring tonight. And I am going to have nightmares about Sanjaya's hair. I get that people who can't sing spend all the time fixing their hair. So, what did he do with his week? Eoghbleaahh- you cannot begin to see how much I cannot stand him. |

| | Re American Idol Season 6 | | This week DialIdol has Chris Sligh on the bottom and Haley Scarnato right behind him.
It only lists Melinda, Lakesha, Chris Richardson, and Sanjaya as being absolutely safe.
But Simon is right....no matter what they say he will get voted for, at least for a few more weeks. |

| | Re American Idol Season 6 | | Ugh. Chris Richardson was so-so, Haley made me want to stick pins in my ears. Chris Slight shoul;d be so much better- why is he blwoing it? He's got a great voice. And why won't someone fix whatever the problem is that's keeping Sanjaya on that show? |

(and omg am I ever glad I don't have an 8 year old girl, if they are attracted to Sanjaya. That's both creepy and scary. ) |

| | Re American Idol Season 6 | | Was anyone else bored tonight? Melinda was just ok, nothing to write home about. Lakisha really held back on waht should have been a Lakisha song. Even Sanjaya was boring, except for when he mouthed off to Simon again. No, wait- even that was boring.
The two performances I thought were pretty good were by Jordin and Blake. I thought Gina was not too bad. The Horsemen inform me that Haley was not boring.
So. Did I mention how much I love Hugh Laurie? |

| | Re American Idol Season 6 | | Do NOT say Hugh Laurie. Honey TiVod OVER House last night. I was SO PISSED. He has had his TiVo priveledges revoked and received a detailed and angry explanation of why Deadliest Catch does NOT trump House on the Tivo, ever. One of the many reasons being that it is on eleventymajillion times a week, and he can pick another time slot. Another reason being that if he wants to see twelve ugly drunk guys fishing for crab in cold water he can drive to frackin Gloucester FCOL. grrrr. |

| | Re American Idol Season 6 | | The cath bag freaks me out a little bit on House. Has he ditched it yet?
I didn't see last night's, but it had the desired effect the week before.
Dial Idol puts Haley lowest and, believe it or not, Lakesha next lowest.....
Lakesha has one of the most powerful belts I've ever heard, but I think she has to watch herself on the soft tender notes--"Stormy Weather" had a pretty cloudy start.
Phil was listed second on the Dial Idol list (not surprisingly, Melinda was first...) We thought Phil would be the most likely candidate to go home last night. He has a good voice, but "Night and Day" wasn't a good choice for him, and Bennett was right, he should have done it a little faster--the slow tempo revealed some quavery long notes.
I think Gina was third to last. I like Gina, but every time she opens up her mouth and I see that tongue piercing I get freaked......it's like "how can you mutilate your vocal instrument?"
I have never liked Jordin. I just wish that the Disney Channel would hire her as Raven's long-lost cousin or someone's best friend and she would leave. I think she might be good on the Disney Channel, but I'm just not crazy about her....
And if she was on the Disney Channel I wouldn't watch her.
But I do have to admit that she did really well with "On A Clear Day." That was the only song she'd ever sung that I could see a glimmer of what people saw in her. |

| | Re American Idol Season 6 | | Two things to look forward to tonight:
1. What Simon will say about Sanjaya this time
2. House.
AI is becoming uninteresting because of the talented ones getting sent home and Sanjaya and his universe being broadcast into my home each week. However, I bought new toenail clippers for the doggies tonight, so we'll be having some fun at my house! |

| | Re American Idol Season 6 | | Sanjaya again. Like I would rant about anything else? But what was up with that East LA look? He looked like he should have been wearing the t-shirt which says "Strangers have the best candy".
Blake was great. Phil was boring. Haley was nekkid. Film at 11. |

| | Re American Idol Season 6 | | I was keeping my mouth shut, but I just read something that shows me I wasn't alone in feeling sorry for Sanjaya last night. Popwatch | Blog | Movies | Music | TV: Entertainment Weekly
Yes, he should have been gone ages ago. BUT, his being there was never his fault. The judges and producers picked him and some whack-jobs kept him there. The kid himself was nice. Mildly creepy in a Michael Jackson sorta way, but nice.
And, I am happy that Simon at least gave the kid the nod for his lyric-changing homage to people yapping about his hair all the time. The kid did show some class, even if the audience didn't.
And yes, I was happy he was finally voted off. Enough was way past enough.

| | Re American Idol Season 6 | | I was happy he was gone, but I was saying to my friend Meleah it must have been torture for HIM the last few weeks. To get up on stage and sing knowing you are on Vote for the Worst and Howard Stern as the worst singer up there, that takes cojones.
