Pop CultureThe books, movies, television shows and music of our generation. - Whatever that generation may be. Movie, music, book, and television trivia and commentary and much more.
Syler was with a shape-shifter - he ended up killing her and he's in a concrete building in the middle of a huge forest in the middle of no where.
Claire admits to the boy at her school who likes her that she's 'different' and he flies her off to a beach where they end up kissing. He tells her about a "man in horn rimmed glasses" who did something to him when he was a child. Obviously, this is her dad. We're curious if the boy (can't recall his name) is progeny of Nathan, who can also fly.
Mohinder took a photo of 8/8 of the series of paintings that depict the future. It's Claire's dad lying in a pool of blood iwith his glasses broken. Looks like Claire standing over him in the photo. Mohinder continues to pretend to work for The Company, they set him up with a lab. Creepy Bob is keeping a close eye on him.
Maya and Alexandro escaped from Mexico with a fellow jail escapee.
Jessica and her son are going into hiding. Jessica tells her son he can come back and visit him anytime he wants to....Dad's taking a dirt nap in the cemetary.
Peter (yes, it is really Peter and he looks more like Peter now) is falling in love with the girl from Cork. He helped the bad guys pull off a robbery, then thrawted the bad brother's attempt to kill another brother and steal all the cash. So now he's "one of the brothers"...they gave him the box back that has his life in it, but he's not opening it.
Hiro got things back on track in 1617, wrote some notes to Ando about his adventures, and dropped them in the samurai sword. Ando found the notes and read them. Oh, and the samurai - he's got powers too. Heals from wounds, like Claire.
I know there's more, go to NBC.com and the official site to read a better recap, or rewatch it. Getting VERY interesting.

Okay, from last night....I figured out at some point that the "nine" are the parents, and are they all employees of The Company??? Is that the tie? I couldn't figure out why Claire's dad is not in the photo, but then realized, a) she's adopted, and b) Nathan is the wrong generation. And Matt's dad is the bogeyman? Eek.
Where did Nikki go? I didn't realize she dropped off Mikah at her MIL's house and then split.
Anyone want to weigh in on the good/bad of Claire's dad? Beginning of last season I thought he was bad. Then when he realized that The Company was trying to kill Claire, he seemed to be good. Now he seems to be swinging back to being a bad guy again.
I hate it when 9:00 rolls around on Monday nights and it's over for the week!!!!

Clair's adopted Dad is usually referred to by fansites as "HRG" or "Horn-Rimmed Glasses." Now that name is also being used on the show, by the boyfriend.
I think that "HRG" is a good guy, but was misguided and did some very bad things (no malice intended). I think new flying boyfriend will have reason to hate HRG, but that HRG is now a good guy fighting against the evil folk.
So - what's his name.... the dead white haired guy.... the one Hiru stole the sword from - who's father is he?
Lindstrom...he was the one who was trying to kill everyone at the end of last season and got waxed by Nikki's husband (why can't I remember the names of everyone on this show, I sound like a moron and I watch it religiously!). I don't think it's come out if he has any kids or not. Maybe he's Sylar's dad?
If all the parents were members of The Company, then maybe they did an experiment on the babies or the fetuses that caused them to have powers.
The theory of course gets thrown right out by the fact that the original ninja had healing powers.

Linderman.
And the guy from the past is a samurai (a ronin, I think: a masterless member of the samurai class) not a ninja.
When you're a hopeless geek like me, these things matter.
If Matt's dad (who really has GOT to be the Boogeyman....I had my doubts when they first got to the apartment building, but that quickly faded) goes to the complex to find Bob, he'll also find Nikki, Molly, Mohinder and everyone else who is there. That doesn't make a lot of sense with the story line.
That whole dream/false vision sequence was really scarey. I had figured out that Nathan and Matt were punching each other and was yelling at the TV. Dan laughs at me.
And how did Mohinder know about Monica?

The fight scene sucked. The writers need to quit reading their comics and move on to more creative pursuits. That was a Justice League contrivance where Wonder Woman and Superman fought each other, each believing the other was a monster.
*yawn*
They know how many comic nerds watch the show and I'm not even a nerd and I knew that happened.

G and I have been sort of half-heartedly watching it... Yawn, Hiro and his hero and the princess... yawn... Peter doesn't know who he is.
WHAM. We looked at each other and the TV like a tennis match with this did that just HAPPEN expression. I didn't even BREATHE during the "next week" bit.
And most shows can probably run through Christmas or so. They may stretch them out a bit by inserting some re-runs after sweeps if it doesn't look like the strike will end.
PAY THE WRITERS!!!!!

That's exactly how I felt last night, Pippa. I've been getting bored with the Hiro story line, Claire is "ho hum" (although the trick on the bitchy cheerleader was rather amusing) and the stuff going on at the compound is interesting, but not compelling.
WHAM is a good description. Dan wasn't home to laugh at us, but Jeremy and I both dropped our jaws down around the floor.
I can't believe I actually look forward to Mondays....
