I didn't think so. I thought that Jessica and Nikki were twins (triplettes) and that Jessica died and was somehow "taking over" for Nikki. Maybe I'm wrong, and Barbara is really the 3rd.
Jessica was just a multiple personality of Nikki, wasn't she?
Maybe. My friend had the idea that Jessica and Nikki actually switched places from somewhere so it might be a dimensional thing (especially since we've just seen that they do have other dimensions in Heroes). The dimension thing might have been her power which might perhaps leave it open for Jessica (or Nikki) to come back in the future (because either they were in the other dimension or escaped the blast/switched places when the place blew).
I think that Jessica did say something about losing Nikki/taking her place or something like that (I'm not exactly sure about the wording there) when she was a kid and maybe Nikki dying but they might kinda overwrite that. Or her memories were wrong or something like that. Definitely a possibility there considering that there are people that can alter others' memories.
I've had somewhat mixed feelings about him all along. I kinda liked the way that they introduced him but he's always had a bit too much angst about things for me. I've kinda liked him at times but the thing last season seemed like a bit of a copout to me.
Personally I don't really like Claire too much this season. That whole subplot just seems kinda *huh?* to me. I mean I can understand that she wants to take a more active role and all of that but I don't really understand why she'd go after people, especially the person that she did go after (was she trying to commit suicide?).
Then there is the Hiro thing that I don't exactly like either.
It seems likely that Hiro didn't kill Ando and it was some kind of time trick but that didn't really make sense either. Why would they ask Hiro to kill him (because they are nasty?)? What would that prove, really?
Then the formula thing where Hiro *had* to open the safe and the whole presence of it to begin with (why wasn't it destroyed?). The whole subplot seems a bit forced.
Really for the most part I'm not really understanding a lot of the points of a lot of the subplots (heh Is there anything but subplots in the show?). I kinda dig the villain/escape thing to some degree but they kinda put a close on it nearly right away with only one villain left out and about...
...and the question of whether Sylar actually killed Weevle (er... I can't remember the guy's name... Jesse?) still seems up in the air. I guess that there maybe is another villain somewhere though--the fire guy--but I'm not exactly sure what happened to him.
Heh I did check out the plot synopsis thing on IMDb. They've only got actors' names up there right now though but it seems to kinda spoil a couple of things (like who isn't going to die/who is coming back). It does look like Nikki/Jessica's kid's cousin is going to be in a future episode so she isn't totally written out. No huge spoilers there though.
NBC.com was doing a great job at updating the recaps from the previous week, but they fell down last week...I didn't get a chance to check yet this week (not able to do it on dial-up at home, too busy at work ). I usually read through to understand what I saw on Monday night.
I think Micah will come back. If you watched the season premier pre-show, they had the little boy prominently featured. I think he will return, probably somehow tied to Tracy.
I thought I'd heard another name besides Nikki and Tracy, and that it wasn't Jessica. Yes, I think Jessica was a personality disorder, but Nikki seemed to know who she was in the beginning. An imaginary friend, perhaps? but yes, I definitely heard Barbara this week. So when will she turn up? And is Nikki really dead? (yeah, I think so _)
I don't want Sylar to be a good guy. It's like on ER when the jerk (now it's the red-haired guy) becomes the nice guy. I hate it. Keep him bad and evil, keep me hating him.
HRG has always been suspect.
with Hiro and Ando. I like that they've unearthed Adam (although I was rather glad to see him encased last season)...now that he's escaped, what evil can he bring on?

Look like they bumped off Adam and whatshername is out of the picture. Just saw an article saying Heroes 'jumped the shark' last season so this might be why they are doing this sort of thing...
There was a great article in Entertainment Weekly last week about "what's wrong" with the show. I thought it did a good job of metting out what I've been feeling.
I still like it, but it's just not the same edginess as Season 1. I miss the "regularness" of Claire and some of the other characters.

You mean Suresh? Me and a friend were calling him Flymonkeyboy after his first transformation episode. Not really sure where the monkey thing came from (probably him jumping around) but his transformation just totally reminded me of Goldblume's in The Fly.

Heh Love to read it but am not sure where to find a copy. Maybe when I visit my friend at some point. Wonder if they've got it online.
I kinda agree with you. All of the characters are kinda 'out there' right now and seem to be getting even further out as the season goes on. It was cool in one when they were just normal people that discovered powers but now they kinda aren't.
OK. I haven't seen today's episode but last week's sure didn't exactly make sense in context. I mean if the powers are lost momentarily every so often (eclipses) then Adam would have been toast long before.
I'm with you now. Last night I just couldn't get engaged at all. I was working on a couple of things that didn't even require much concentration, yet when Jeremy came home, I couldn't tell him more than "the eclipse is over and they got their powers back"
Damn. I had such high hopes for Heroes.
Thank God LOST is back on Jan 21.

Yeah. Honestly I would have liked something major to happen because of it. Maybe a big reset with Peter getting his original power back (but losing the added ones) and the same thing happening to Sylar. Honestly I was even hoping that people that died stayed dead. Not that I necessarily wanted them to die but just because I kinda want them to stick by their guns a bit. Which I thought they could have done at the end of season 1 anyhow (Nathan and/or Peter, and/or Sylar could have all died and it would have sorta been OK even though I like the characters). The fact that everything lately has been so 'in spite of this, everything is the same' lately just seems a bit silly.
They did finish the last of the loose ends from Season 2 off last night though. I guess they *really* didn't like that season.
