I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop, so to speak. Can't say I feel bad about the guy at the gas station, though

yes - they did build the suspense, and the scene at the station was great, but the ending (or non-ending) sucked, and it makes me resent that I ever watched.
I stopped for a while and just started again this season - for this??? |

Eh, it may not be the best ending ever, but I didn't think it sucked. Just showed life will go on, we just won't get to see it. Watch for fan fiction to crop up two months from now

I heard the funniest thing from the Hygenist-Who-Sucked. Her son called in after the show, he'd missed it. She told him "blood, guts, everyone dead" and then hung up on him.
Personally, although I've never watched the show, I thought it was the perfect ending. Leaves it open for a movie, and it's just "business as usual".
I do understand the feeling of being cheated though. When "Cheers" ended, I felt the same way.
