I really, really try to limit myself on the entertainment budget. This year I have splurged - three (expensive) trips, Billy Joel in April, Spam-A-Lot in November.
I swore I was done for the year. Then I came home from an out of town trip, and what am I tempted with?
Elton John. October 6.
Anyone want to bet if I'm going to resist temptation or not????  (I just have to find a date...Dan sort of made a face and said "Elton John?")

Nearly THREE HOURS. No intermission. No opening act. Starting set was Funeral for a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding and it just got better from there (if that is to be believed, because that set is my absolute favorite EJ of all time.)
Almost no chit chat (which I kind of missed, but EJ is not a chit-chatty type of guy). NIGEL OLSSEN is still in the band, which totally made my day. As I told my "date" Heather, I LOVE Elton. He's not like Billy Joel, who you'd take home and do naughty things with, he's more like a Teddy Bear that you'd just have around to hug.
I've felt this way about the guy since I was about 14. And watching him play...it's just like magic.
Some people do Air Guitar, I do Air Piano.
