Stop rolling your eyes- this season is interesting already. A girl with Asperger's is in the Top Ten! I picked her out of the crowd of 30 girls before they even revealed that she was an Aspie, and when she started twirling her hand on her face and couldn't always make eye contact with the judges, I was sure.

I am so glad they've chosen her to compete- I think this is going to be a big deal to the ASD parents. Ok, and if anyone can make her realize how special she is, Tyra Banks can!

I do think, however great it is as an example for Asperger's parents, that the job of the judges is to pick the top model. I'm not even sure why it was necessary to mention it to the public. It reminds me of Dancing with the Stars having their (can't remember her name) person that had one leg to make it more interesting. If it is being done because she was the best choice, great. If it was done to draw in audiences,

But, that just MHO.

That'd be the former Mrs. Paul McCartney, Heather Mills.

And there were over and unders on whether or not she'd lose her artificial leg. I don't foresee that there'd be the same thing on the model show....and actually, I think it's a plus for any parent and/or person who has Aspy's to see someone "like them" in a competition like this.

Unfortunately (or fortunately), all I see of ANTM is the bits Talk Soup shows with sarcastic and hilarious commentary, so I don't see much potential for positivity from this.
