| | OMG, someone needs to beat her. 12 years ago- and I don't even believe in spanking generally. However, in her case I'll be happy to make an exception. Heck, I'll throw in one free smack for her mommy, too. |

| | So. How happy is everyone with the top 24? See any Sanjayas in the crowd?

| | I was kind of annoyed that some of the top 24 got LOTS of TV coverage while others I couldn't remember ever seeing before. It seemed like they were trying to skew the results before the competition even started. I'm reserving judgment on best and worst until I hear them all actually sing.

| | Um, they do that every year. Entertainment Weekly noted that of the top 12 last year, only ONE of them was one of the "limited screen time" people from the early rounds.
I like the Irish girl. |

| | I hadn't followed it closely at all, but my hubby tivoed the top 24 and I watched it late last night.
I like the Australian guy and the sixteen year old Junior Star Search winner among the guys.
I think overall they're a strong group, and not only don't I see a Sanjaya, I don't see a Taylor Hicks. |

| | We were just talking about that! Too funny.
Who was your favourite guy? I love the Archuleta kid, hated DAnny Noriega's performance, and want the last guy tonight to win overall. I love that guy! |

| | G HATED the dreads guy. To the point where he was SHOUTING at the television, which is ordinarily MY domain.
Danny Noriega? I am convinced that the boy does drag shows. I'm off to do a Google search because his head toss at the end really looked familiar.
Too many of the guys were arrogant. I'm assuming they never saw season one. Justin Guarini should have been a lesson for every single performer to ever be on the show after. |

| | Danny has a lot of the same speech characteristics as the Christian from project runway. I don't like Christian, and my dislike is carrying over to Danny.

| | It wasn't his speech (although that GIRLfriend, PLEASE patois was probably also a clue), but the head toss that did me in. I'm betting girlfriend has done Cher at LEAST a few times. Of course, my Google search? Fruitless. Apparently, I'm not the only person who's onto him, and the boards are lit up with discussions that not only should AI have a drag WEEK this year, but that his mother also probably has a tiara. |

| | ROFL! That's what #1 and I were saying last night. Paula said he was hot. I said he was flaming. And, being bitchy-cute to the judges still is not going to keep him in the competition. God willing. |

| | I love Michael Johns (the Aussie guy.)
David Auchuletta has an amazing voice, but there is something about him that reminds me of Chicken Little (Kevin Covais.) I just don't see him as American Idol.
I also voted for the "What a Day for a Daydream" guy and #1 (Hernandez, who sang "Midnight Hour.")
I voted for Hernandez 5 times because my hubby thought he was the 2nd best. I voted for Auchuletta 5 times because he is amazing for his age. I voted for "Daydream" guy because he was so relaxed, as if he was having a good time.
I voted for Michael Johns because of his passion. |

| | Well, I got three out of four of my predictions right on who would get sent home. (I missed the second guy; I predicted Luke.)

| | My hubby was right on three out of four, too--and, although I only saw a lot of it on Tivo, I agreed with him.
And yes, I think Sayesha rocks! Her smile could provide power to the Empire State building. I thought she had the best female performance of the evening.
I thought the Asian girl had a tremendously expressive voice, too. |

| | I really like a lot of the guys. Well, three of them. I was so disappointed in the Wednesday performances. I really want to be an Amanda fan, but frankly, her performance sucked. She's lucky to be coming back.
I really like the Australian guy, and the guy who sang Imagine. |
