BRUUUUUCE!

So I decided at 5:00 p.m. last night to go to the Bruce Springsteen concert. By myself (I had other friends that we went to dinner with before the concert and rode to the hall with, but they already had tickets). Which really wasn't bad because a single ticket allows you to get a pretty decent seat at the 12th hour. I was in the "end zone", but 1st row, 1st seat on the aisle, which allows for lots of room to dance.

Concert was AWESOME. And about mid-way, one of the security/roadie guys walked over to where I was dancing and handed me a folded up piece of paper. I shouted "THANKS" and looked at it....it's a handwritten set list with "Omaha 3/14/08" written on it.

I don't know whose writing it is, but I have a sneaking suspicion. And even though it's a photo copy, I think it's a pretty cool souvenir...I didn't even have to buy a t-shirt.

Cool!
I love Bruce, but last time I saw him the concert sucked! Sounds like you had a good one! And a cool souvenir!

Re BRUUUUUCE!

I don't think I'd see him without the E Street Band...I've heard those concerts were "not so good".

My set list looks like this

but different songs. They opened with "No Surrender" which is one of my all-time favs. Connor Obhern of Omaha's Bright Eyes got to sing with the band on Thunder Road, and that was really cool.

When I saw him he was with the band, but it was a saddeningly bad concert.

Re BRUUUUUCE!

I have confirmation that Bruce writes up the set list before each show, and then the roadies tape them down on the stage (we saw them doing that). Everyone who needs to have a copy has one, and evidently I was near a generous security guy.

I'm going to have it framed. Just for fun.
