| | The new Wal*Mart commercial is cute - cashiers ringing up sales and the register sounds start forming the song "Heart and Soul." But the premise of the commercial - "To speed your shopping trip, we're going to open more registers when it's busy" - isn't exactly earth-shattering or new, it's pretty much standard operating procedure for every large store opened since, oh, 1942, no?
As for locally, the NY state lottery is doing this "little bit of luck" thing with this shrunken guy with a big (ugly) head that drives me nuts. What's playing where you live?

| | I'm with Leslie on this one. I HATE those JG Wentworth commercials.
The Free Credit Report.com one with the guy who is working as a singer in a pirate/seafood restaurant cracks me up.
The new (Cingular?) ones with the wizard creep me out. Don't like those at all.

| | It amazes me, but I can't think of a single commercial currently running (let alone an annoying one) except the "thriller" one for some drink. I pay attention (somewhat) to that because I like the song.
I used to be very annoyed by commercials, but now I completely tune them out. I think I usually either talk through them, am doing things around the house during them, or I go online and just don't focus any attention to them.
I did have a broken satellite radio for a couple weeks, and I had to listen to terrestrial radio for a bit (yuck!) and the only commercial I remember was for a town in New York. I guess they are having an election (although they didn't say that), and they wanted to remind people that if they hate the illegal immigrant problem, they need to remember who is trying to help rid the city of illegals. |

| | Have you ever shopped in Walhellmart? you're lucky if they have three registers open during the busiest times of day. Midnight they'll have 10 open, 5 pm-two or three.
we've got lousy reception here, and I refuse to pay for cable, and I also refuse to have a dish put in-because I know all too well the people who install them.... So we've been watching a lot of movies and playing video games-no lousy commericals.

| | There's one that I enjoy playing on tv and the radio where I am. It's for NY lotto and it's a rock band playing a few of their favorite numbers... then they call out "lotto" numbers. I thought it was creative.
One woman I work with also likes it. Two other women HATE it and complain loudly every time it comes on the radio. "Why is this guy screaming numbers at me? This is so stupid..." | | |
