| | The "return" of Dr. Greene - ER Final Season 2008-09 | | Dr. Mark Greene's role reprised on ER this season
I have a special place in my heart for ER - the first season was 1994, same year as Jer was born, and I watched it religiously the first couple of years. Not so much the last few, I don't know why, but I lost interest.
I loved the "old" ER - George Clooney, Anthony Edwards, Julianna Margulies, Eriq La Salle (I only liked him when Peter was a jerk, hated the new sensitive "nice" Peter at the end of his run), Sherry Stringfield (ditto, didn't like her so much after the comeback), young Noah Wiles.
Planning to watch the final season?

| | Re The "return" of Dr. Greene - ER Final Season 2008-09 | | I don't know. I used to love it, but have been away for so long that I don't know who anybody is anymore. All those years of working nights for the paper put a real dent in my television watching.

| | Re The "return" of Dr. Greene - ER Final Season 2008-09 | | Excuse my french but this is retarded. I know I'm not the only person that watched the funeral of Dr. Greene. Do they really believe that their demographic has changed so much that no one who watched this man die would remember that episode? Or the 5 or 6 that followed with Corday constantly grieving. The man had brain cancer for christ sakes, bringing him back from the dead is ridiculous and insulting.
I LOVED the Dr. Greene character, but this is ridiculous. |

| | Re The "return" of Dr. Greene - ER Final Season 2008-09 | | I didn't get the chance to watch last night, so I don't know what happened. It was my understanding that Dr Greene was being brought back in flashbacks. Same with some of the other characters that died (remember death involving a helicopter?) |

| | Re The "return" of Dr. Greene - ER Final Season 2008-09 | | He wasn't on last night's episode, but the preview for next week showed him. Looking all flashback-y.
It was good to see Ray last night!

| | Re The "return" of Dr. Greene - ER Final Season 2008-09 | | If you read the first article linked in this thread--it says it will be flashbacks. He isn't coming back from the dead. Quote:
Dr. Mark Greene is coming back to "ER," but he's not coming back from the dead. Anthony Edwards will reprise the role of Greene, who died of a brain tumor at the end of the 2002 season, in flashback scenes in the Nov. 13 episode, NBC announced Thursday.
Dr. Greene will be shown with other characters from the show's past and during an encounter with series newcomer Dr. Cate Banfield (Angela Bassett), an attending physician at County General, the network said.

I LOVED the Dr. Greene character, but this is ridiculous. | Love you banging in here and making the "retarded" comment as your one and only post ("pardon my french" doesn't cut it as a lameass apology IMO). We're a bit more civilized than that....if you'd do just a wee bit of homework (like reading the link in the first post), you'd know that they are bringing him back in flashbacks, not resurrecting the dead.

Great show last night. Like I said, we've been lax in watching the last couple of years, so when Ray appeared, Dan and I had to jog our memories to recall what had happened. Interesting interchange between him and Stamos...I wonder if they're keeping him on the rest of the season and how that will play out.

| | Re The "return" of Dr. Greene - ER Final Season 2008-09 | | It was really touching last night when Ray came back. He did better with his specially made prosthetics than most people do on two legs. He had gone into rehabilitative medicine and was up for a conference.
He had healed emotionally in many ways, despite his physical disabilities.
He also helped Neela to forgive herself as he forgave her (said it was his fault for drinking and being in the middle of the street.) But they were rudely interrupted when they started rekindling their romance, and it doesn't look as if it will ever reignite.
He looked mahvelous. | |
