Stephen King

WHAT IS IT WITH STEPHEN KING AND GUNSLINGERS AND THE CRIMSON KING AND THE GODDAMNED BEAM AND THE BREAKERS AND THE DARK TOWER?????????

Just finished Black House. Okay, it was good, but it could have been better on its own. Why? Can't King just write a stand-alone story anymore without whipping out his Dark Tower and jacking it all over his books? It's starting to get repetitious and annoying and he's not making any real progress since the man in black walked across the desert and the gunslinger followed him.

It's gone from being the core of some of his writing to an inside joke.

*SHEESH*

Ack!

I've just started! Don't tell me the ending...

Is it really a bummer?

When have I ever given out spoilers, my little rosebud.

(BTW, Rosebud is the name of Citizen Kane's sled, right? Or was that Hearst's girlfriend's snack-basket?)
