| | Once again I have the daunting honor of trying to follow MrsNormanMaine. I feel like the dancing dogs that followed the Beatles on Ed Sullivan's show.
But I have a movie in mind. Yes, it's in English.
Good luck. |

| | Apparently making the first mistake in all of the many movie challenges we've run wasn't enough for me. I've now made the biggest as well.
When soxfan asked about Oscar nominations, I meant to say NO to its winning Oscars because it didn't win. But it was nominated, and for a big one: The movie in question was nominated for Best Picture.
I'm sorry I've messed things up like this. I can't even offer an excuse because I don't know how I did it. The index card on which I wrote pertinent information says clearly: "Nominated Best Picture."
I'll be sending personal apologies to everyone who's played the game since that question. For anyone who is not so disgusted they've given up, the following answers are accurate:
Comedy? YES
Main actor a man? YES, two out of four are men.
Longer than 60 minutes? YES |

| | I will say that I am nowhere NEAR the level of movie fanatic that it would take to win one of these.
HOWEVER, I am a pretty good researcher, and I can't find any movies that were only nominated (but didn't win) Best Picture put out by MGM between 1927 and 1938 that are comedies other than the one I guessed....hmmm... |

| | I realize my credibility on this one is shaky, at best.
But I've just checked other sources and I'm confident it's an MGM comedy that was nominated for Best Picture between 1927 and 1938. |
