*Gasp* Where'd They Go?

Alright, this is not an ideal Christmas present for me.

So I'm surfin' the web and I'm thinkin' - I haven't been out to see what's new with a band I absolutely love - Neve. I type in http://www.neve.com and it goes directly to Columbia records website.

Hmmm....then I look at their artist list and Neve isn't there anymore!

Then, I go out and do massive searches and I can't find anything about them. Usually there's SOMETHING when bands break up or record companies drop bands.

Wahhhhh.....Anyone have suggestions where I can find info on my beloved men?

The band is listed on Half.com. The album they released in 2000 (was that their only one?) is on there. You can buy it for $.98.

I've never heard of Neve though. Only Neve Campbell. Oh well.

You're right. I did a grand tour of the internet looking for them, too. The latest information was quite old, from a geocities fan site.

Almost as if the MIB flashed their pen at the internet and said 'Forget Neve'.

Here's the Neve link at ArtistDirect.

BTW, Amy, they're now framing a VBB for their message boards. Good choice!

Your old music cannot sustain you through a life, not if you're someone who listens to music every day, at every opportunity. You need input, because pop music is about freshness, about Nelly Furtado and the maddeningly memorable fourth track on a first album by a band you saw on a late-night TV show. And no, that fourth track is not as good as anything on Pet Sounds or Blonde on Blonde or What's Going On, but when was the last time you played Pet Sounds? - Songbook by Nick Hornby

So, none of the music sites even show that the band is officially over. Neener - I knew before they did .

Anyway, being the obsessive/compulsive chick that I am, I managed to track down a couple of bulletin boards to find out what happened. The good news is that two of them are going on as a new band with Columbia records called LA Unified. (Stupid name if you ask me).

I won't bore you with the other details .

Boy! I lost a lot of sleep over this last night.

If JC suddenly disappears, I'm sure it'll be at least a week's, maybe even a month's worth of sleep that I'll lose .
