So, is it English?

Any Oscar nominations? If so, any wins?

Oooh...no Oscar nominations this time. That narrows it down...NOT! Let's try the usual suspects...

Was it released before 1980?
Is it a comedy?
Is it a drama?

eplovejoy is an unknown quantity at this point

Is it about time travel?

Was it released once, and then re-released like The Exorcist and the first three Star Wars movies?

Does the story involve a broken timepiece?

Just trying to figure out the "timeless" reference.

Was it made mainly for a children's audience? A teen audience? A family audience? A date audience? An 'anyone else' audience?

Do any leads die in it?

Hmm, Back to the Future was a comedy.

(scratching head now)

Was it Frankenstein Unbound?

A family audience, or a younger male audience (not kids)

"Do any leads die in it?" Not really

"Hmm, Back to the Future was a comedy.

Is it an American film?

Is it based on another work (novel, short story, etc.)?

Is "the" in the title?

Is the title more than 3 words?

Is it Memento? (Hmm, can't remember if that had a busted clock in it or not.)

arbaro wondered...
"Is it animated?" No.
"Was it released after 1995?" No.

soxfan pondered...
"Is it an American film?" Yes!
"Is it based on another work (novel, short story, etc.)?"
No. Not that I (or IMDB) know.

rightbrain countered with...
"Is "the" in the title?" Yes !

"Is the title more than 3 words?" More than three?...No.

"Is it Memento?" No.

OK, so much for my initial guess which would have been "Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time."

I think I know what it is...but I think I'll let someone else guess it this time...if it's what I think it is, this question should clinch it...

Does World War II figure in the plot?

arbaro delayed by asking...
"Does World War II figure in the plot?" shhh, be very, very quiet...:-)

Nice job, arbaro.

We'll accept your 'declination' gracefully and use your question as
yet another clue...Yes, WWII does figure prominently in the plot.

(It's not tooo obscure is it, Keith ??)

Aw, you're no fun.

OK, I believe sleeper's pick is 1980's The Final Countdown (starring, among others, Kirk Douglas and Martin Sheen), in which a modern-day nuclear carrier suddenly finds itself in the past -- specifically in 1941, a few days before the attack on Pearl Harbor.

I'll come up with a new one in a sec ... unless I'm wrong, in which case sleeper's still on the hook.

Your turn...nice job. Had no idea how hard it might be.

I noticed that only 30% or so of the EP reviews recommended it. A review on IMDB called it a 'guilty pleasure' movie. I like the 'time travel' conundrum(sp) in this movie and others. I always try to watch it when it is on. TBS seems to have it every other month or so...

Interesting movie. I should see if it's on sometime.

BTW, I deferred 'cause I did it last time and wanted to see what movie someone else came up with. Didn't mean to leave you hanging in the wind like that. Sorry.
