| | Taking a stab in the dark here:
Is it, by any chance, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers?
No, okay, then....
Was it first released before 1963?
Was it nominated for any Oscars?
If so, did it win any?
Was it filmed in black-and-white? |

Was it based on a novel? ... (as in a book?) ... YES
Were those Canadian skaters robbed, or what? oh my gawd, YES! (That entire thing made me sick - sick I tell you. Someone needs to get ahold of those judges and torment them ... slowly.)

How much wood could a wood chuck chuck if a wood chuck could chuck wood? ... ( According to a Wall Street Journal article Richard Thomas, a wildlife expert from New York, estimated that a woodchuck moves about 700 pounds of dirt in building its burrow...so, he estimated that over that same time and effort, a woodchuck could chuck 700 pounds of wood if a woodchuck could chuck wood).
Is it a horror film? ... NO (horror, me?)
Does it feature vampires? ... NO (Hah! You think I would be so predictable?)
Are the parts that are not in English subtitled? ... NO (that was some smart thinkin' there my friend, I wondered if anyone would ask about that)

Does it feature lesbians? ... while sometimes, in my dreams, I have borrowed from this film a bit (too much information I fear), the answer is NO, it does not
If a tree falls in the forest and no one's around to hear it, does it make a sound? ... I'm glad you asked that question Ailsa. Why yes, yes it does. It cries out in a mix of fear and trepidation as it nears the ground. Throwing out a hearty, "hey, I'm falling over here! Oh good gawd this is gonna hurt! Save me please! Someone? Anyone? The pain - oh lord, the pain!" ... THWAP It's really not a pretty sight. To this I say look to the awesome power of hemp.

| | Is it a thriller? ... NEWP A romance? ... NO siree
Did the novel win any major prizes? ... uhm, gee, well, NO I don't think so (if you have an idea as to a site that would have specifics I'd make sure to try it but as far as I can tell, no)
Did the chicken come first? Or the egg? ... And I quote: In nature, living things evolve through changes in their DNA. In an animal like a chicken, DNA from a male sperm cell and a female ovum meet and combine to form a zygote -- the first cell of a new baby chicken. This first cell divides innumerable times to form all of the cells of the complete animal. In any animal, every cell contains exactly the same DNA, and that DNA comes from the zygote.
Chickens evolved from non-chickens through small changes caused by the mixing of male and female DNA or by mutations to the DNA that produced the zygote. These changes and mutations only have an effect at the point where a new zygote is created. That is, two non-chickens mated and the DNA in their new zygote contained the mutation(s) that produced the first true chicken. That one zygote cell divided to produce the first true chicken.
Prior to that first true chicken zygote, there were only non-chickens. The zygote cell is the only place where DNA mutations could produce a new animal, and the zygote cell is housed in the chicken's egg. So, the egg must have come first.
Hey, you asked.

Are the parts not in English in a language regularly spoken by populations here on Earth? (as opposed to made up languages, alien languages etc.) ... YES it is not alien speak, it is a real language (well, for those who speak it)
If so, is the language a European language? ... YES
Was the film released after 1990? ... YES
Is the performer who is billed first male? ... NO
Where, oh where, has my little dog gone? I am taking a chance here MNM, but have you looked under the bolts and bolts of sample fabric for your new Glamourpups clothing line?
Is it animated? ... NO
Does it fall into either the fantasy or sci-fi categories? YES, it does fir into one of these categories :p - as a secondary
Why do fools fall in love? I think it has something to do with gay birds and break-dancing lovers. There is also something involving a cake out in the rain, I believe. All of this comes together, your heart goes crazy and then some high pitched voice starts repeating "why do fools fall in love." It is at that point you begin to go a little insane - that's when you know you're in love.
