| | Indeed, you did! May your empire rise again in another era.
In the mean time, we shall erect museums to tell the tale of your civilization and its contributions to European history.

| | And then there were three ... (well three and one lost Russian)
Do the great leaders wish to adopt a more frequent schedule?
At this stage in a game I find that the moves start to be more chess-like, with the remaining leaders preferring to skip any negotiating tactics and head straight to submitting moves.
We can keep the current schedule or we can move things up a bit. I can even have it be an unscheduled schedule. By that I mean that as soon as each leader has submitted their moves then I will post the results, then as soon as new moves are submitted by everyone I'll post them too ... etc. etc. ... There would be no deadline - apart from an ASAP one - so if people happen to be ready with their orders every day then great, if it happens to still be every week then that is fine too.
Please send me a PM with your preferences or post them here.

| | Austria-Hungary No adjustments required England No adjustments required France No adjustments required Germany No adjustments required Italy No adjustments required Russia
The Fleet in the English Channel is dislodged by the German Fleet from the North Sea. Please submit a retreat or disband order for the fleet. Turkey No adjustments required Adustments
If a unit is dislodged then its owner must provide a retreat or disband order.
- A unit may retreat to a space to which it could ordinarily move if unopposed by other units
- It may not retreat to an occupied space
- It may not retreat to the space its attacker came from
- It may not retreat to a space left vacant due to a standoff (in this season).
- Retreats may not be convoyed
- Retreats may not be supported
If it is not possible to retreat to an eligible location then the unit must disband.
Even if there is an eligible location for retreat the owner may chose to disband instead of retreating.
An example of a valid retreat order is:
< great power's name > <unit type - army or fleet > < in > < location from which it was dislodged > < wishes to retreat to valid province name >
An example of a valid disband order is:
< great power's name > < wishes to disband its > < unit type - army or fleet > < in > <location from which it was dislodged >
If no retreat orders are received then the GM will disband the units.

| | The day the war stood still. | | Hmm ....
The world would be a very happy place if the three of you were in control
Now, it is not as if I, as your GM, wish to advocate the violent and bloody destruction of your friends, however, I do wish to point out that one cannot win a war unless one goes to war. pacifist thought: of course there would always be peace if there was no war to win
As we near the final stage of the game please allow me to set the collective minds of your kindhearted souls to rest: YOU HAVE NO FRIENDS!
Now, I do not mean that in a nasty way, naturally, I merely wish to give you the freedom to take action and to absolve you of any guilty feelings you may have regarding said action. In other words "Get thee to a gunnery!"
Now, should you all wish to continue the game, and by "continue" I mean "MOVE SOMEWHERE" you may wish to perceive the game as one akin to the strategic competition known as Chess. There is little, as in none, need to make a pretense of diplomatic motions, it is assumed that each player has the same goal: To acquire the most supply centers. You will each have a place on the medal podium. You are all winners. Now is the time to determine the colour of your medals.
Go Forth.
Fear Not.
Move the thing ... and that other thing!
Submit MOVES
GM - KATRINKA
Ps. Just in case my merry message does not properly convey the intended humour please be assured that I am not in any way whatsoever at all dismayed that a three-way tie may end the game. I just want to give you a chance to play out the game without worrying that you might hurt someone's feelings. Let me know what you'd like to do

Am I correct in assuming that we still wish to announce a draw?
If this is not the case, please inform me, and I will take appropriate measures.

That's what I wanted to hear: Axis once again shows it's strength and restrain... Woo to all those strategists who consider that central powers are in disadvantage. You proved them wrong once again.
I salut you!

I was planning on sitting in exile in Rio, sipping cocktails and watching the axis rip itself to shreds. Oh well, better go watch a film instead...

| | I started a "Mornington Crescent" thread a while back, I was hoping to find someone else who was familiar with it so we might have a game and maybe others would learn from watching us and join in the next game. No luck, unfortunately. But some of the things that happen in eaforums "Diplomacy" games look to me like people would really rather be playing "Mornington Crescent."
I will bump the Mornington Crescent thread so that you can get all the info... | |
