You know that you can still vote even if you haven't submitted a definition, right?

Would it make sense to have a single, unifed thread to announce the opening of new rounds, so that anyone who wanted to could subscribe for email notification on that thread?

I really do want to play, but am finding it difficult to keep track of the various strands with various words, and you'd never guess as much as I'm here that I keep missing the cut-off times. A unified way of doing it would really help me.

Whenever you see a thread with SEND IN YOUR DEFINITIONS as part of the title then send me a PM with your definition. When I post the definitions and open up the thread for voting I send each player a PM with a link to the thread. I try to allow enough time for each player who has submitted a definition to also vote. For the two words you submitted definitions for I waited until you had voted before I posted the scores.

If you see a thread with the words OPEN FOR VOTING then jump right in and place your vote. Even if you have not submitted a definition you can still vote. You can select "subscribe to thread" if you'd like to keep track of the thread and see the other players' guesses and the final scores.

There should always be a word on the go for you to take part in. Whether it is to submit a definition or to vote, there should be at least one thread that has not yet reached the SCORES! point.

I'm trying to keep the game unstructured and without any specific time constraints on the players or myself. I do not expect every player to play in every game/word/thread. I'm just hoping to have something available whenever someone drops in to play.

If I can hang around for a bit I submit a definition. (BTW I love the PM notification and appreciate it very very much. We all know how organized I am.) Most of the time I'm posting on the fly, so I like being able to just vote, not feeling like I have to submit a definition. Takes some of the pressure off and makes it more fun for me. Also like the way I can tell at a glance the stage of a word I'm participating in. And if I miss a word, no big deal.
