A jokey lateral thinking puzzle

Warning: Don't take this one too seriously!

You are enclosed in a room - a giant box, really. There are absolutely no means whatsoever of ingress or egress. The only two items in the room with you are a table, and a handsaw. How do you get out of the room?

The walls of the box divide all of space into two parts: the part on your side of the walls and the part on the other side of the walls.

Call the part on your side the 'outside' and the part on the other side (the entire rest of the universe) the 'inside'.

You are now outside the box.

How's that for 'thinking outside the box'?

I assume the problem is that the box doesn't have a door. Make the door out of the table (cut the legs off with saw) and open it. Walk through and you are out...

What is the table made of? (plastic, steel, marble, chocolate...)
What is the saw like? (log cut, giprock, pipe, bone...)
Is there a light in the box?
My first idea was to burn it down but considering limited amount of information...
