One more try at stumping y'all (thanks to Redlass for the suggestion):

The music stopped. He died. Why?

Re: Lateral thinking puzzle: stop the music

Re: Lateral thinking puzzle: stop the music

Was his death directly related to the stopping of the music?

Was his death indirectly related to the stopping of the music?

Did the music stopping have anything to do at all with his dying?

Did the music stop at the same time or immediately before his death?

Was he performing in a play?

Was the music the beeping of a cardiac or other health monitor?

Your old music cannot sustain you through a life, not if you're someone who listens to music every day, at every opportunity. You need input, because pop music is about freshness, about Nelly Furtado and the maddeningly memorable fourth track on a first album by a band you saw on a late-night TV show. And no, that fourth track is not as good as anything on Pet Sounds or Blonde on Blonde or What's Going On, but when was the last time you played Pet Sounds? - Songbook by Nick Hornby

Was his death indirectly related to the stopping of the music? I'd have to say it was directly related to the music stopping.

Did the music stopping have anything to do at all with his dying? Yes.

Did the music stop at the same time ... No.

... or immediately before his death? Yes.

Was he performing in a play? No.

Did he die of natural causes? No. Do they ever in these puzzles?

Did he die by his own hand? No.

Did he die because someone else killed him? No.

Did he die in an accident? Yes.

Was he jogging and accidently ran into a flutist, thereby impaling himself on the flute - ending the music and stopping his heart - or something like that?
