| | 12/10 Day 3 Virtual Gift Exchange | | Grandma got addicted to a website,
Sitting at the PC Christmas Eve.
You may think computers aren’t addictive
But as for me and Grandpa, we believe.
She was posting fast that winter’s evening.
And we begged her to just take a break.
But she went ahead and entered EA’s chat room,
And apparently that was a big mistake!
There were people telling stories,
Others there were playing a fun game.
But then she went and clicked into the soapbox,
And from that night on she’s never been the same.
Now we all are missing Grandma.
She never seems to log out anymore.
We beg her to spend more time with the family,
But her addiction to EA is quite hard-core!
Oh, Grandma got addicted to a website.
Sitting at the PC Christmas Eve.
Some say EA’s really not addictive,
But as for me and Grandpa, we believe. !santa |

For Wednesday, I thought I'd combine some of the special things you are and have done. You have a wonderfully eclectic style. You seek the unique. You have also been an inspiration to many on this board with the miles you have walked, and the journey you took with many from this board.
Walk on, girlfriend! http://www.novica.com/region/index.c...ID=10&scID=872 | Aw shucks.
My Santa not only knows how to suck up (s)he also knows my tastes. I love the carving! I'm clearing virtual room on my desk for it right now.

| | Re: 12/10 Day 3 Virtual Gift Exchange | | Wormie, you are precious. That's a scream.
Okay, my SS is up early. I already have my presents for the day. I got a cool snow globe. I just wish I had my new PC so it would work a little better.
Santa also presented me with a trip on the Fulton Steamboat Inn. How did Santa know I needed a vacation?
Thanks Santa! And I'll venture a guess that it's Angie (thinkerlady) because everything seems to be centered around Pennsylvania, which I've never visited and would love to come see!

Not that you need any help dealing with Jeff, but there's a chapter in How to Rule the World as a Smartmouth Goddess
called "How to handle Lunatics, Perverts, and Right-Wing Republicans".
I thought you might like it.
| You mean somebody already WROTE the book? Dang!
But thank you Santa...

"We used to have fish, but now all we have is a dog. I thought you might enjoy something for your son's aquarium"
I'm really excited about the " luxury sheets! "
And this was so funny because I actually was thinking I needed to use this tonight!
Thanks Santa, looks like you have done your homework...

Hmmm, apparently that answer is now. But it is a cheerful snowman with all the snow that we don't have here in Michigan.
Thank you, Santa!

I did it! I found you the perfect gift! But you know, the post office just *insists* that they can't ship a chainsaw. Next they're going to tell me I can't mail my boss a nice powdered donut. What *is* the world coming to?

| | Re: 12/10 Day 3 Virtual Gift Exchange | | Now I'm stumped. I thought I knew who mine was, but today's gift surprised me. Here's the poem:
"Folks say that you're a fan of things Black and Decker
(Did I get that name right? I need a spell-checker)
So if, by some chance, you have leftover rye
Toss in a few slices, and watch that toast fly!
Thought this experiment looked interesting ... maybe the Horsemen could conduct their own variation! "
And her's the gift - a link to a hilarious news article: Children to test Murphy's Law with buttered toast
LOL!

Are you hungry? Because Santa has set up a dinner date for you. He’s ordered pizza for Joan and the kids while whisking you off to the Cosmos Club in Washington D.C. (make sure you see the room where they’ve hung the portraits of all their members who have won Nobel prizes, Pulitzer prizes, and Presidential Medals of Freedom.) Wallace Stegner called the Club “the closest thing to a social headquarters for Washington’s intellectual elite.” You’ll fit right in there.

The host will escort you past the harpist to your table where you have a few guests waiting to share your repast:
Jerry Flint, the automotive reporter for Forbes, Inc., one of the 100 most prominent journalists of all times and who has covered the automotive industry since 1958.
Alan Greenspan, well, he doesn’t really need an introduction does he?
Diana Krall, nor does she, eh?
Chuck Hinton, a baseball player who…oh, wait, you know him already too, don’t you?
If you haven’t finished your conversation during dinner, then consider retiring to the lounge for more conversation:
Or better yet, the library: |
