Does anyone other than me visualize time passing as a kind of spiral that trails off into the distance, each year being a circle with December at the top and the summer months at the bottom? If I want to remember when something happened, I have to go back around the spiral and visualize when the event took place. The days of the week are shaped more like an oval, though.

When I was in grade 11 or 12, we were assigned an essay on the subject of "time". I visualized "time" relentlessly dragging me along on the end of a chain, and the teacher asked me if I had read Emerson. I said "Emerson who?"
