Shop Till You Drop! Yeah. I know you're not supposed to shop online using company resources. But, if you're going to do it, you may as well save some money.

I also have two items up for sale to benefit TeamEA that Lynn hasn't had a chance to add to the page. I have two McDonals' Ty International Teenie Beanie "Maple" (the Candadian) Bear. If anyone is interested or knows someone who would be, PM and I'll send you the links. All profits from these bears will go to Team EA.

Calling all Beanie Baby ers!!!! I'm tempted by these (whereas CBKs don't trip my trigger, sorry Cindy!). There are TWELVE ( ) BB auctions for the Avon Breast Cancer 3Day as of today!!!!

Also 3 new auctions for Cabbage Patch Kids - a cute Koosa, adorable little girl, and for you wanna-have-another-baby-but-not-the-dirty-diapers types, a pair of Preemie brothers who looked awfully cuddly.

More stuff to bid on, more stuff to bid on.

(Um, anything else?)

The lunchbox is put safely away for the baseball room that Kalynda will never let me build and the beautiful serving set is already in her dining room china hutch.

What else ya got?

YOU bought the serving set?

That was beautiful stuff. Good thing it wasn't my pattern or I'd be donning my cat burgelar outfit.

I collect that stuff.

If I'd seen the serving stuff George wouldn't have gotten it so cheap. That's exactly what Tracy collects. I think she calls it Boopie.

Well, if you two would stop whining and set an alert for whenever Team EA sells stuff, you would be in the running for it too.

Meanwhile, y'all (is that the right way to say it, Lynne?) come on over for supper and you can admire our latest purchase.

Yup. That's how you say it.

Hrmmph.

Thing is, non-collectors don't realize just what they have...

Do you know how rare it is to find BOTH pieces of the candy dish? My word...

Tracy has great taste Dennis. Beautiful pattern. I'm thinking about switching mine. Got the first piece, a serving bowl, for a wedding present. Been scrounging flea markets and yard sales ever since.

But my pattern is called holiday - or buttons and bows - and it's pink.

Ewww...

My daughter loves it though, so I'll probably give it to her and pick my own pattern this time.

Anyhow.

Back on topic.

Lynne

I'm bidding on the Snoopy teapot - I've got a cousin (in-law) who is crazy about Snoopy. Would you believe she actually managed to talk her hubby into naming their second child Linus?!

I know. I mean, there's nothing wrong with the name Linus, but it's so old-fashioned and seems so "weird" by today's standards, that I think she's really done the poor kid a disservice by naming him that.

At least he's adorable, that will help!

Just some inside information for EA eBayers:

All the charms were donated for the auction by my mother-in-law. She got them all as party favors when she went to various dances at colleges in Virginia (she grew up in Roanoke) and at the Naval Academy. (Of course, I have to note the irony that she went to all those Navy balls and married someone in the Army.) Most of the charms are 14kt gold or sterling silver, though a few are merely gold/silver-plated.

The bidding seems off and running already. If anybody has specific questions about some of the charms, send me a PM and I might be able to find out more from my mother-in-law.

Enjoy!

who wishes the party favors at balls were still this nice
